Cultural Summer Camp at The CAKE Village - East Dundee, IL
INVITE FRIENDS WHO MAY BE INTERESTED. The CAKE Village African Culture camp is an immersive cultural experience. It's a great way for both Heritage learners and non-heritage learners to expand their knowledge of specific ethnic group from various parts of the African continent. Our goal is to foster a cultural connection to the chosen African ethnic group and enhance cultural awareness, appreciation and heritage esteem in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. All classes are taught by native speakers of the respective ethnic group. Culture camp is designed for children 6 year to 14 years and is held once a month from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on Saturdays. Teen Bander Training Camp (ages 14-18) - Hilton, NY
This camp is open to students aged 14-18 who are interested in learning the basic techniques of passerine bird banding, and in examining the scientific reasons for tracking birds of all kinds. Students should have a demonstrated interest in birds to apply; see the Braddock Bay Bird Observatory website for details.
