Farm to Table (ages 6-12) - Connolly Ranch
Brings your young epicureans enthusiasm for all things cooking back to the source of the ingredients: land, soil, seeds, animals, plants and more. Campers will explore how to grow and cook a farm-fresh meal from the ground up using ingredients that are in season and locally grown in the Napa Valley. After getting their hands dirty learning how animals, soil, water and the sun work together to produce food for our tables, kids will wash up and commence cooking. Nothing tastes better than a meal that is freshly harvested out of the ground. Each week, a local chef will visit to share knowledge about farm-to-table cooking. Parents are invited to join their campers on Friday afternoons to sample what their kids have learned that week. 707-224-1894

Lacrosse - Middle & Lower School - Sports at The Heights School
Develop individual and team skills in a fun and positive environment. Become a better lacrosse player and let loose with Coach Mitchell and his fun-loving staff. Each player will be grouped by age and skill and partake in drills designed to teach every aspect of the game while emphasizing the fundamentals. Players will be placed on even teams and game and tournament play will be designed to spark competition and teach sportsmanship. In between lacrosse, players will enjoy other fun activities such as a pool trip, water slides, and individual competitions for prizes. Coach Mitchell will be joined by other Heights coaches, Heights alums, and visits from elite college and professional players. Global Video Game Designer #2 - Middle School
Students shouldnt just be playing video games, they should be MAKING their own games using video cameras, sensors, and drawings. Students even get to remix what others have done to hack their games! By learning Scratch (designed by the brilliant folks at MIT), your child will get to impress you with his or her cool and original creations. Plus, your child will be doing a good deed while gaming, as with all Level Up Village classes, 30% of the profits go towards funding a Global Partner class of students who live in poverty. Using video chatting, your child and his or her global partner will get to hack into each others games! All the while, your child will be learning about math, logic, coding and presentation skills. JUNIOR STAFF (JULs and JALs) Girls entering 11th grade or older, but under 18 by the first day of camp. Please note that girls should register as Adult Staff member if 18 or older as of July 18, 2016. If you will not turn 18 until AFTER July 18, 2016, please register as Junior Staff. No camper fee is required for Junior Staff, but there is a fee of $30 for any Junior Staff member who is not currently a registered Girl Scout. - Must be entering grade 11 or higher - Has completed AIT training or equivalent* - Has been an AIDE for 2 years, plus 1 year as an LIT, or an AIDE for 3 years * If equivalent, would need to submit an application verifying training & experience working with children and accompanied by three references. All art class are taught by Washington , DC artist, Lisa Jennings, who is a practicing artist and has taught in the Public School Systems for the past 25 years, including DC, Fairfax County, and currently Montgomery County Public Schools.
