Building a Light-Controlled Synthesizer - MacRostie Art Center
Work with composer, instrument builder, and educator, Troy Rogers to create a light-controlled synthesizer. Can be taken individually, or in conjunction with the Musical Robots workshop. All materials provided by instructor: each student leaves with a functioning light-controlled synthesizer they built during the workshop. Students will also have the opportunity to particcipate in a performance that evening at 7 pm, open to the public, at MacRostie Art Center! Ages 13 – 17. 218-326-2697

You have been selected for a secret mission. Camp Griffin is choosing only the smartest and most clever campers to solve mysteries and crack secret codes during this training mission. If you choose to accept it… join Camp Griffin for a day of whodunit fun and intrigue. (703) 340-7268
Pathways from Medieval to Modern Knighthood - Lower School Gym Building G
Campers will learn the ways of the medieval world as they experience a week in the life of a knight in training. Campers will learn about medieval history, mythology, European martial arts, woodcraft, and a whole host of skills necessary for survival in the medieval world on the path to becoming a knight. The foundation of the camp will be learning the knightly art of combat with the two-handed longsword. Campers will use specially constructed training swords with nylon blades and safety equipment to learn the fighting techniques of the German style of longsword combat. Over the week, we will evolve our training to the modern Olympic sword comparing the lives then, and the lives now of modern heroes. Offered in partnership with Midsouth Fencers Club 9194932642.0

Jonathan, a Tinkering Specialist, leads this creative five-day building experience focusing building projects with recycled materials indoors and out of doors!
