This camp is recommended for girls ages 8 through 16 years of age. My 13 year old daughter attended Mountain Top Summer Dance Camp. What she liked about it surprised me. She really enjoyed the camaraderie of other girls who shared her passion for dance. At the end of the camp, the girls all held a talent show, and they performed for the parents. Week 8: Day Camp Assistant Training (Leadership Development) - Camp Tanadoona
Day Camp Assistant (DCA) Training is the first step in Tanadoonas leadership development program. DCAs spend the first half of the week engaging in teambuilding workshops and interactive leadership training with lead camp staff. Training includes first aid, behavior management, specialty programming and basic counselor skills. DCAs immediately apply their training when they are partnered with Tanadoona Counselors to assist with Day Camp groups during the second half of the week. Staying overnight on Thursday to help with the Thursday Overnight campers provides additional experiential learning. We recommend a minimum of two years of DCA before progressing to CIT. 612-235-7284

Bowmen Rookies is an introduction to team sports designed for players of all skills and abilities. Program time will focus on fun-based games and drills. Learn the basics of what it takes to be a lifeguard. This program promotes teamwork, leadership, and aquatic safety while introducing students to professional opportunities. Get quality water safety education on ocean and beach hazards, including rip currents, waves and tides. Gain an understanding on beach ecology and marine life and learn respect for the environment and for themselves, their parents and their peers.
