2016 Survival Day Camp - Botetourt County Recreation Department
This day camp will take adventure, competition and teamwork to fun heights as we play and do creative activities to see who will take the Survivor prize. Come as an individual or bring your friends to this outrageously fun day camp. We will do survivor games and activities in the mornings and enjoy the cool water of Lake Eagle in the afternoon. Lunch provided each day with kid friendly foods. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Participants will need to bring a towel, bathing suit, sunscreen and waterbottle for the day. Lunch will be provided but if a child has an allergy to some foods, you will need to pack their lunch. Children will be dropped off at Camp Eagle at 9am and will need to be picked up at 4pm each day. Family and friends are invited to an end of camp Performance and Reception on Friday, August 5th at 5:30pm. Dancing, acting, singing! Campers will collaborate with professional artists to create a dynamic original performance while learning skills in Broadway movement and vocal technique. INSTRUCTOR BIO: KEELY KIRK stepped into the improv abyss at a tender age and found a place to be herself. She began training with Mental Floss, a Miami-based improv/sketch troupe which performed at the Coconut Grove Playhouse until Hurricane Andrew blew it all away. She went on to be a principal performer for over ten years with Laughing Gas Comedy Improv --Miamis longest-running improv theatre company. She then decided that Miami was just too warm and balmy and moved to Chicago (the improv epicenter), where she was involved with and trained with IO (formally Improv Olympics) and Second City. While in Chicago, Keely decided to follow President Obama to Washington D.C., to become his presidential jester; however, due to government cutbacks, she was furloughed. Tracey Bartholomew Womens College ID Camp - Summer - Baker Athletics Complex
Tracey Bartholomew is once again offering a high-level College ID Camps held at Columbia University in the City of New York. College ID camps are open to girls entering grades 9 - 12. This College ID Camp is a collegiate showcase and competitive training program for players who plan to play at the college level. Staffed by the Columbia Womens Soccer program, and various other high academic programs ranging from Div 1 to Div 3, this camp is multi-faceted in that it gives top players: 1) the opportunity to be seen by top college coaches; 2) a better understanding of the college soccer environment ; and, 3) the skills they need to become even better players, taught by some of the very best coaches of the game. 845-548-7621
