Qualified staff, experienced horses and a rodeo and roping arena will be the setting for this camp. The atmosphere will encourage campers to advance their riding skills, expand their horsemanship knowledge and enjoy riding. All campers will get to try their hand at rodeo and roping events. Instruction will be provided and all level of riders will be accommodated. Math and science concepts will be integrated into all skill development for campers. Everyone will ride and learn horse and ranch routines. This is an overnight camp. Chuck wagon/Campfire cooking will occur, (weather permitting). Bring a sleeping bag, overnight bag, long pants, sturdy shoes or boots, sunscreen and a jacket. Riding Helmets will be provided. On any given day, campers may play soccer, frisbee golf, basketball, do gymnastics, martial arts, or participate in track and field events. Well start the week with Opening Ceremonies as the campers run through the campus and pass the torch to each "country," and well close with a Flag Ceremony. Throughout the week, campers will decide on the medals to be given and help to create them with all of the USA themed crafts well have available. Please sign up early for our popular tennis, flag football & swim camps held at Palo Altos Rinconada Park and Pool. Participants start each day with a tennis lesson 10-11:30am from the staff of Tennis program. Following tennis, the participates will eat with swim staff to eat from 11;30 am until 12:30 pm in the Rinconada Park. Following lunch the participates will head out to the field to engage in flag football from 12:30-2:30 pm with the Skyhawks coaching staff. After Skyhawks flag football, the participants will head over to the Rinconada Pool where they will enjoy swimming lessons, water games and be supervised by our lifeguards.
