Residential Field Player Camp - Rice University
The residential camp for field players will focus on four principles of a complete player: physical, psychological, technical and tactical. The program will be intense, but will foster learning through a fun, competitive environment. Players begin each day with strength and agility exercises and then a technical session. After lunch, players will return to the field for our tactical session and small sided games. Each evening, competitive matches will be played, giving coaches the opportunity to observe the players understanding of the topics covered that day. Our staff will be comprised of only the top college, ODP and club coaches available. This camp is open to any and all boys and girls ages 12-18. **Please note that graduating high school seniors are now allowed to participate in summer camps where collegiate coaches are on staff. The Elite Spring Clinic is for the serious athlete who has aspirations to play at the college level. The sessions will focus on individual skill development, team tactics and team play. Join the YSI naturalists and develop your investigative skills to help us solve a natural mystery! Learn how to utilize your senses and then employ the tools of a scientist to delve more deeply into the mysteries of the world around us. Look for clues that animals leave behind and see what you can discover. Conduct tests on water and soil and learn how to use magnification tools to examine small evidence and to see things that hide from the naked eye. 2nd Session - Soccer - YSCP
Intro: The soccer club will focus skill base practices instead of playing a game. The ultimate goal of this club is to recruit players for the YSCP soccer team. Students will learn positions, strategies and ball controlling. Bio: Frank Ayata has been with YSCP since 2007 as business manager. He loves playing and teaching soccer. He has been playing soccer since his childhood. This year marks his fourth year with Extended Day Soccer Club. He is involved with many extracurricular activities at the YSCP such as Skiing Club, and International trips to Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Turkey.
