As kids grow and mature, they sometimes begin to lessen the value of imagination within the context of their writing. This workshop will teach your children appropriate methods by which they can explore creative writing in academic and non-academic settings. Most importantly, it will remind them to value and nurture their imaginations. Activities will include journaling, community creativity circles, character creation, short story drafting, and more. Mr. Chuck Wagner earned his MA in English from the University of Kansas and his MFA from Indiana University. Extending the Fun of the Club
Our kids have been going to the local Boys and Girls club for the past year but this was the first time they ventured out for summer camp. I'm so glad they did. They got to try out so many new things. One of the big hits was the work in the garden. Now they want to turn out backyard into a vegetable patch. Session 2- Advanced Residential and Extended Day Camp - University of Maryland
This camp is an all-encompassing program specifically designed for the more serious soccer player. The focus here will be to challenge each individual to transfer what they have learned in the morning skill sessions and the afternoon small group tactics into the competitive full-field evening games. You will play on the same fields that the University of Maryland Mens Soccer Team utilizes. This a recreational & competitive level camp open to boys and girls 6-14 years-old. Players will improve their technical abilities and footwork with the soccer ball through practicing proper mechanics of dribbling, receiving, turning and control. Having technically sound foot skills give players a competitive edge in progressing to tactical application in game-like scenarios. After completion of the Skills & Development camp, we recommend progressing to the Dribbling & Passing camp.
