PFAC is proud to offer classes for homeschoolers. These classes are for students ages 5-12 and are taught by Valerie Whiteman. Parents and younger siblings are welcome to explore our Hands On For Kids Area. May 10, 10-11:30 Shapes: Students will explore properties of organic vs. geometric shapes and will create a Calder-style clay mobile and a Jacob Lawrence-style multi-media collage. 757-596-8175
Natures Explorers - Week 9 - Nature Center at Shaker Lakes
This week we will explore some ways we can help protect our planet. Campers will work together to brainstorm and create an earth-friendly product. At the end of the week, they will present their product to the rest of the camp and parents, demonstrating how everyone can think of ways to make our planet a better place. The Zombie Apocalypse is coming! Do not be caught unprepared! Zombie Apocalypse Survival Camp teaches survival skills vital to protecting yourself and your family from invading zombies! Skills including: evasion tactics to avoid zombies, zombie combat in case you have an encounter, fishing, archery, shelter building and outdoor cooking for basic survival once the world as we know it has been ended. The undead wont stand a chance, but you will! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Camp Day Schedule : Hunt and Hike, snack, Activities Camp Curriculum by Day : Hike Park, Stealth and Evasion, Archery Combat, camo hide and seek, hunting, scavenger hunt, fishing, traps, campfire building, cooking. Meet daily at the pavilion for check in and pick up. This is an outdoor camp. Please send your child with sunscreen, bug spray and a hat. We will spend a significant amount of time in the sun.
