Exchange Youth Camp #Ngvdmop - Sonora, CA
ALL Youth! On behalf of the District Youth Board, we greet you in the name of Jesus Christ! We pray and hope that you and your youth group are well and blessed. Camp is around the corner and we are excited about it! This year’s theme is “EXCHANGE.” We have felt God tug at our hearts and steer us in this direction with this theme in mind. When the Apostle Paul received his calling from God, he wrote “… for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ” (Philippians 3:8, NKJV). An exchange occurred in his life. He left behind knowledge, position, and commodities to live his life for Christ. Our goal for this year’s youth camp is for young people to understand that in every EXCHANGE, something must be given up in order for something to be gained; and our ultimate goal is to gain Christ.

Campers ages 15 to 18 try out different sports and learn teamwork and gain independence in diabetes care. The campers stay at Rotary’s Camp Florida, in Brandon and bus to different venues each day. Activities are under the direction of various college coaches or certified instructors and include martial arts, volleyball, soccer, water skiing, golf, basketball, tennis, and softball. Planned night activities include roller skating, bowling, and a night at Tropicana Stadium watching the Devil Rays.

Radical Reptiles & Animals with John Taibe (AGES 5-10) Join John Taibe from Radical Reptiles and Friends as he introduces the children to a unique menagerie of live animals including snakes, frogs, turtles, tortoises, lizards, bugs and other creepy crawlies. As the children explore the animal kingdom, they will have a unique, hands-on experience enhanced by art, games and various projects related to these creatures. Kids will be up and about moving too! This is a full year STEAM program (science, technology, engineering, art, math) with all new lessons for fall, winter and spring sessions that do not repeat. Design a star wars robot and Mars Rover, program an adventure in space, construct a solar robot, test out circuitry, build a castle, bridge or dragon…and lots, lots more! Students acquire a basic knowledge of geometry, physics, technology, programming, circuitry, energy, sculpture, art and design. In addition to logical thinking, our program stimulates students thinking in a different way to generate innovations from their own imagination and discover their creative talent. Vanderbilt Golf Camp - Vanderbilt Legends Club
For boys and girls, ages 10-17, of all skill levels. The price includes meals, housing, golf activities, and a camp amenity package. Each student is evaluated at the beginning of camp to ensure that the juniors of similar ability are grouped for instruction geared to their needs with student/Instructor ratio of no more than 6:1. Morning instruction rotates stations for putting, chipping, pitching, bunkers, full swing, games, and competition. The afternoon session is on-course play with coaches to work on shot selection and course management. At the conclusion of each day, campers will enjoy guest speakers, seminars, a tour of Vanderbilt Universitys campus, movies, field games, and night golf.
