The High School Harp Solo and Ensemble Workshop is open to entering grades 9, 10, 11 or 12. The program is an exciting week of solo and ensemble experiences exploring classical traditions and improvisational styles. In addition, participants have the opportunity to attend special master classes on a variety of topics including selected orchestral audition excerpts, chamber music, harp maintenance, and career discussions. That will cover meals, snacks, and activities. Please bring a sleeping bag, pillow, warm clothes, and one roll of duck tape. We will be creating a cardboard city. Any needed medication can be given to the "camp nurse" who will hold and adminster. Parents, please send written directions. We will be collecting NEW socks for people in need. For every pair of new socks, your name will be entered into a draw for a $100 gift card to the Tanger Outlet mall! Start collecting socks for women, men, or children! This program, coached by a French Judo instructor. Judo is a martial art from Japan. Coach Frederic has been teaching Judo to students around the world for over 25 years. While teaching disciplines such as politeness, respect, self control and concentration students will also learn the complex forms of the martial art known as Judo. This martial arts program will teach and train students on the proper technique, muscular development, calisthenics, stretching, joint rotation, exercises, endurance training, sparring and sparring related drills. Everyday, you will improve your balance and have fun with many activities about judo like crafts, drawing, writing. Japanese and learn few words in French. Fun games, fun activities and contests, lets move your body and your creativity skills. Wolverine Camps is a great setting for the inspired eye to capture beauty and create memorable pieces of art. Campers will demonstrate creative expression, learn advanced skills, techniques, and in-depth use of materials, vocabulary, and the principles of design. Students of all artistic levels can develop their creative techniques in this week long camp. Tuition includes all meals, lodging, instruction, art materials and camp t-shirt. Treasures Across America Week 3 - The Chapel School
Our theme this year is Treasures Across America." Our students will learn about the our great nation by traveling cross country. We will make stops in all 50 states learning about uniqueness and history of each state. In addition to age appropriate literature and arts and craft projects, campers will have an in-house field trip once a week. We will be visited by The Nature of Things, Greenburgh Nature Center, Mad Science, The Maritime Aquarium, Dinosaurs Rock and more! Children also have the opportunity to enjoy plenty of outdoor fun, with water play and games on our secure school playground.
