Are you a seasoned camper who wants to help weave the magic of camp? Camp Surprise campers will work together to re-create a permanent Terabithia for the camp fairies, spread the camp spirit by planning a themed meal for the week, create a way to pass positive messages around camp, help with an all-camp activity and end the week by performing the Princess No-Name story at campfire. There will even be time to visit the horse pasture for a ride. Join us for a week of wallowing in the spirit of camp! 336-274-8491

Emoji Teen Camp is created for Ages 13-18 during the school break! Join us Thursday, February 18th 1-3pm at the studio! **This is a parent drop off event! ** You may drop your child off at 1pm and pick them up at 3pm! - Cost: $30 per teen includes (2) 12x12 canvases each to create any emoji's or paintings of choice. Each child will learn paint mixing techniques, outlining, shading and much more all while meeting new friends! - Reservations: We will limit this event to 16 teens. There is a $10 deposit due to sign your child up online at www.roamingpaintress.com - Click on Class Registration - If you are unable to register online please visit the studio any Monday evening during Open Art hours 4-10pm so we may get them registered - Remaining balance can be paid in Cash at drop off - Bottled water and juice will be available for each child and we ask that you bring a snack for them.

The North Alabama Congregational Holiness Church Christian Education Department would like to announce our 2015 Youth Camp. This event will be June 21st thru June 25th, our theme this year is Camp Discovery "Jesus at work through us". The early registration will be at our Giant Youth Rally, June 6th, 2015, this year the fee will be $65 on this day and $70 if you wait until the day of, so register early and save $5.00. Our speaker will be Reverend Jason Lee, a former camper and a outstanding minister for both the young and the young at heart. There will be classes for all ages and under 6 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. Your Pastor or Youth Pastor will have detailed information for you on Sunday. This year at New Culture Summer Camp Cascadia, we will be exploring our creative edges, expanding our comfort zone, and integrating the skills, knowledge and intuitions of participants to co-create an experience that is unique, alive, and transformational. We are inviting talented facilitators and presenters to join us in our experiment as we also open up the programming to respond directly to the desires of the group in the moment. What will arise? What will we create? What new discovery will we uncover as we practice together being fully present in our bodies and in community? Each day will include ZEGG-style Forum for connection and transparency. Together we will cultivate connections, empower personal and social change, support healing, and explore love & freedom of choice. Camp Iredell is an exciting day camp offered 9 weeks during the summer. The program is designed to incorporate a wide variety of fun and educational activities, that change weekly. This program will travel 4-5 days a week, weather permitting. Activities may include, but are not limited to, swimming, guest speakers, crafts, games, environmental activities, and field trips (science centers, sporting events, etc). * Ages 5-11 * Monday-Friday, 9 Sessions. Pick the ones you want! * 2 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Locations: Statesville (East Elementary) or Mooresville (Mt Mourne School). Singing for Musical Theatre – Ensemble Performance - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
No class on Feb. 14. This course is designed for singers at any level (grades 2nd - 9th). Students will learn the basics of vocal technique for proper singing, including voice placement and production, breathing, and phrasing. Students will receive guidance in finding their voice type and category. They will also work on presenting songs – learning how to make a song come alive by not just singing it, but interpreting and performing it. This semesters in-class concentration will be on musical theatre chorus/ensemble numbers. Students will work on singing together, and will be taught not just melodies, but also how to sing harmonies and various vocal parts. (An ability to sing harmonies and to sing with others is an essential part of musical theatre performance.) Some of the songs will also include basic movement/staging, and the music and movement that is learned will be presented/ performed in a musical revue format. Students will perform on the LTA stage in the Spring Showcase on April 1st and 2nd!
