A camp to promote literacy and encourage imagination Rising 1 and 2 July 11-15 Kim Fansler In this camp reading, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, art, cooking and drama will all be taught using various versions of classic fairy tales. We will give the children the opportunity to build the houses the three little pigs built. They will make the gingerbread houses that Hansel and Gretel found in the woods. They will plant the magic beans that Jack used to grow the magical beanstalk. They will dress up as characters and act out favorite scenes. They will get to paint and decorate enchanted castles.
