Join Mrs. Wilson for a 3-5 mile intense hike in the beautiful CVNP. Be ready for strenuous trails by wearing sturdy hiking shoes or boots and carrying a water bottle. Eat a good breakfast for energy and stamina. We will be on the bus promptly at 9am to be able to get back to school in time for lunch. Bring rain gear and be ready for some serious hiking fun. Ages 9 and above unless Mrs. Wilson gives written permission to a younger child who is capable of these hikes. Students can meet at Brandywine Falls Friday at 5pm and hike 4 miles to Stanford Youth Hostel for an overnight campout. Pick up at Stanford Youth Hostel at 10:00 am on Saturday morning. Camping cookout dinner and breakfast will be provided. Students bring and carry their own backpack, sleeping bag, camping mat to sleep on, dishes, utensils, and clothes. Our youngest campers play in their own area where they are closely supervised by experienced Early Childhood Specialists and trained Counselors to maintain a very high staff-to-camper ratio. PREP Track & Field/Cross Country Camp - Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School
Prep runners will enhance their running and speed development at the Brebeuf Jesuits Track and St. Vincent Health Field, and also on one of the few, true Cross Country courses in the state. The running workshop is designed to help ALL athletes in ALL sports improve their speed, agility, and coordination by doing plyometric drills, speed chutes, bungee, and drills designed to increase propulsion, responses, and rate of stride. Prep runners will conclude their week with a track meet, where all families are invited and encouraged to attend. Head Cross Country/Track Coach Karl Knerr 74, has 25 years of experience in Cross Country and 30 years in Track & Field. He led the Braves to 3 consecutive State Finals in cross country. He just finished his 5th year as head track & field coach, and was named back-to-back IATCCC Coach of the Year as well as NFHS Boys Track & Field Coach of Year in 2014.
