Clay is a great way to have fun and get creative. No experience needed. Students will be introduced to techniques with hand building and throwing basic forms on the potters wheel. They will create dynamic surface decorations using glazes, slips and applied elements. Please wear clothes you dont mind getting dirty and bring a towel. Camps will include all necessary supplies. The students artwork can be picked up two weeks after the class ends. An additional session of this camp will be offered June 20-24. 8504737468.0

Youth Curator Camp - Martinsville, VA
Youth Curator Camp Virginia Museum of Natural History Saturday, December 19 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Youth Curator Camp is an opportunity for children ages 6 to 12 to learn about the museum while participating in fun, hands-on activities and programs. Parents and guardians – this is a great opportunity for your children to experience a day of scientific adventure and discovery while you finish up any last-minute holiday shopping! Campers will meet the museum’s scientists and learn about real museum collections. There will be demonstrations of the casting and molding program, with children having the opportunity to create, paint and take home their very own fossil cast! In addition to these unique activities, campers will enjoy pizza and a movie in the museum’s Education Center. Dates: June 27-July 1 Time: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm for Boys Entering Grades K-8 Format: One-week session Location: Laurels Butler Campus in Russell Township Tuition: Boys-Only Camp: $325/session Get a jump on the season with an intense week of fitness and skill training! This first-class soccer camp focuses on enhancing individual skills, building team tactics and teaching intricacies of the game. In addition to soccer skills, campers will spend time in our state-of-the-art 16,000-square-foot fitness center while working with Laurels certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to learn about lifting techniques, agility, speed, ACL injury prevention and nutrition. Participants will be split into groups based on age and experience. Coach Dennis Weyn - Director of Coaching for Ohio Premier Soccer Club and Eastside Kickers, Dennis is a former member of the U16 and U18 Dutch National Teams and played professional soccer in the Netherlands and the US.
