If there is one thing you need to know about our boy and water is that you can't get him out of it... especially when he's got a inner tube to float in. I thought he might take up archery because of how many times he watched "Hunger Games!" LOL! But instead this year was his first time at fly-fishing and I'm afraid the camp made him a total convert. It's time to recognize an identify the filters that we have received, but more than that, take off the filters that the world gives and exchange them for the filters that God gives us.

Dave Parrish Memorial Youth Rugby Camp - West Saint Paul, MN
This is the first annual Dave Parrish Memorial Youth Rugby Camp! This is a non-contact rugby camp open to kids in middle school and below. The cost is $10 to help cover costs of renting the dome, and the first 50 registrants get a FREE rugby ball. While this is run by Eagan Rugby's Middle School program, this camp is open to kids in surrounding areas. Dave passed away far too soon in January 2015. But before he did he made a lasting impact upon our Eagan Rugby program. He loved working with kids and introducing this wonderful sport to them. Thus, in his honor (and thanks to his memorial foundation), we are thrilled to present this opportunity to kids.

Dates: October 16 – 18, 2015 Ages: 13 – 19 Co-Directors: Steve Lamason and Dan & Nicole Miguel Speaker: Zach Justice (from Upton Lake Christian School) Come for a weekend of growing closer to Jesus Christ, playing fun games & spending time with other teens. Bring clothes for cold weather & muddy conditions. Cost: $85 The cost is reduced to $70 if you send your registration and pay in full by October 9. I'll be competing for the chance to play at Summer Camp Music Festival in May! I'll be updating this with the times I play asap. But for now I know that it's based on a door poll so the more people that comes and votes the better! Also, it's only a 3$ cover! There's going to great music from local DJ's, but of course a vote for me is definitely preferred :)

This fun-filled Monday-Friday camp is designed for your child to take part in eleven weeks of recreational activities, swimming, field trips and more. Camp is held out of the Meineke Recreation Center, 220 East Weathersfield Way. Extended care is also offered for an additional fee. Campers are asked to bring a sack lunch and suit everyday, unless specified. Parents will receive a detailed camp calendar prior to the start of camp. In On Stage: Spotlight, everyone is a star! Our two week camp is designed to allow students the opportunity to dive into performance and design/construction aspects of theatre by working on an abridged production. This year, students will perform 5-7 musical numbers with corresponding scenework from the Broadway hit, Matilda, based on Roald Dahls beloved book. Well start each day with physical, vocal, imagination & focus building warm-ups. Heres what well be doing: * * creating & developing characters * * rehearsing scenes/songs * * blocking/choreographing musical numbers * * learning music * * set design and scene painting * * designing/building props and costumes * * playing drama games * * getting to know the theatre space and theatre terminology * Our goal is to have every student on stage as much as possible, every student engaged in the creative process, every student proud discovering their design potential, every student proud of their work. MOUNTAIN BIKING 201 $250 Grades 6+ July 25-29 8:30AM-2:00PM Did you know that within a half mile of the Greensboro Day School campus is access to over 35 miles of the best municipal mountain bike trails in North Carolina!?! Looking to build on a successful first year at the 2015 GDS summer camp , we are back for even more fun for 2016 with two sessions available! [MTB 101 June 13-17 and MTB 201 July 25-29] For a full week, your child will get the opportunity to safely explore our amazing local Greensboro mountain bike trails while also learning basic mountain bike repair and maintenance. Instruction will be provided from highly experienced local bike shop mechanics combined with skills instruction and guided rides from certified International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) guides. This camp will split time between instruction, skills sessions and most importantly bike riding! All your child needs is a bike in good working condition with knobby tires and a helmet.
