Ahhh, Spring! It will be here before we know it, and Deep Roots Community Farm and Inspired are excited to offer another great Grow La Crosse Farm/Art Camp! Join us for an afternoon of fun and education on the farm! We will care for the farm animals, learn about the biology of the natural world on a farm, make art projects, and enjoy free time in our beautiful rural setting. In this session, additional focus will be given to planting seeds in the garden and in take home pots, as well as horse care (grooming and feeding) and ART! All programming is led by Ana Skemp, M.S. Ecology, owner of Deep Roots Community Farm and Jeni Blake, artist and owner of Inspired. 9:1 staff to child ratio. Children will be asked to bring their own healthy snack. Aside from the bible study which she was really engaged with, her favorite thing was the cast iron cooking lessons. 3rd Annual Fireworks Fundraiser "Celebrate and Laugh" for Avengers Fre
The Avengers Mentoring Organization (501c3) presents it's 3rd Annual Charity Fireworks Fundraiser for our 5th Annual Summer Camp! Our FREE summer camp serves 300 children ages 6-13 in and around the Metro-Detroit area. This daily camp runs from July 11, 2016-August 19, 2016. Locations are: The Golightly Education Center (5536 St. Antoine) and George Crockett Academy (4851 14th St) in Detroit. During the camp, children are involved in team sports such as: volleyball, basketball, kickball, baseball and more, arts and crafts, group mentoring, outdoor recreational play and are also served by a mobile dentist. Meals are provided by Good Samaritan Food and is run by up to 25 volunteers! Field trips are also optional and available! This year's theme is "Celebrate and Laugh," the fireworks is a tradition in Metro-Detroit, get a magnificent view of the fireworks at One Woodward on the 19th floor! Enjoy a barbecue style meal, laughs by Comedians Mic Larry and Simply Shanell and enjoy the sounds of singing sensation and recording artist Johnyce! There will be music, dancing and many activities, as well as a VIP charter ride to and from the event! But most of all, you will be a part of helping the Avengers...

Kayak Fishing Camp - Week 5 - The Greenwell Foundation
Kayak Fishing Camp is for children ages 8 – 12 (by first day of camp session). This camp combines two of the favorite activities at camp – kayaking and fishing! The week begins with a lesson on the water learning kayaking skills with a certified instructor. The campers will then have two opportunities during the week to be on the water, combining these two skills – and hopefully catch some fish! With help from a member of the Maryland Saltwater Sport fishing Association (MSSA), campers will have on-land instruction learning how to tie lures, cast a line and what fish can be found in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Friday, the campers get to choose if they want to fish or go crabbing from the boat launch or fish from a kayak. In addition to all the fishing and kayaking, campers will also have the opportunity to do archery, field games, crafts and get wet with water games. Each afternoon, campers are provided an afternoon snack and each week a chance to make Smores. The week ends with Tye-Dye Friday for a take-home memory of the week at camp. The Details! Competitive Training Camp - Player Registration - Reed Arena
This camp is designed to help advanced players polish up their individual skills while learning to execute team strategies for winning rallies, games and matches. Following some initial review for individual skills the majority of the camp sessions will be dedicated to competitive drills and scrimmages. Instruction will be geared towards maximizing each individuals skills to maximize a teams opportunities for success utilizing drills and tactics that help Texas A&M win the SEC Championship. This camp is intended for experienced players with strong individual skills and understanding of the game. This camp is limited to players entering grades 9-12. Players must only click the "Join a Group" option, even if you will be attending as an individual player. If you are attending as an individual, select the Individual group option. If you are attending with a team, find your teams name on the list, and enter the password your coach provided.
