Extending the Fun of the Club
Our kids have been going to the local Boys and Girls club for the past year but this was the first time they ventured out for summer camp. I'm so glad they did. They got to try out so many new things. One of the big hits was the work in the garden. Now they want to turn out backyard into a vegetable patch. High School & Junior College Evaluation Camp - Roadrunner Baseball Field
Evaluation Camp: Check in 8:00 - 9:00 AM. Camp Hours will be 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. We will take a 30 min lunch break around 12:30 PM. The morning will consist of a pro-style workout that will assess running, throwing, and fielding tools. The afternoon will consist of Batting Practice and pitchers throwing to hitters in a game format. Each player will receive a written evaluation of their skills from a UTSA Staff Member at the conclusion of camp. 210-458-4811
Fly Fishing - The Evergreen School
Fly fishing is a sport that teaches patience, improves motor skills, and fosters an appreciation for nature. No one can walk away from losing a five minute battle with a stubborn trout without a deep respect for the fish! Students will learn the basics of fly fishing – setting up their rod and reel, knot typing, basic overhead casting, selecting the right fly, etc. Discussion will also include the history of fly fishing, how its different from other kinds of fishing, and entomology. Sammy Slug Summer Camp, Session #8b, Half Day - Youth Programs
Sammy Slug Summer Camp is offered by the Office of Physical Education, Recreation & Sports (OPERS) for boys and girls entering 1st through 6th grades. Based at the East Field House, this camp is offered in one-week sessions June to August. There are half day and full day options, and pre-camp and post camp care is available. Throughout the week the 5 camp tenants which are Responsibility, Respect, Leadership, Sportsmanship, and Team Building are reinforced and integrated into the curriculum. Camp activities include a variety of sports such as basketball, tennis, frisbee, and soccer; outdoor recreation such as hiking and swimming; and other arts, crafts and outings to keep the campers engaged, active and creative. With a camper to staff ratio of 10:1, the camp focuses on creating a safe environment with a program designed, implemented, and staffed by experienced recreation professionals and UCSC students. All staff are screened through a criminal background check, certified in First Aid/CPR and trained in safe practices. GRADES 1st - 5th LOCATION East Field House

Dabble in sweets to begin learning cooking skills. Experience measuring and mixing, stirring and sipping, cooking and baking. Recipes will be given with take-home goodies. Max: 8 students Gisselle Madariaga (Pastry Chef) 212-712-6230
Week 6 3 Half Days AM Westport Summer All Sports Camp - Greens Farms Elementary School
For Boys and Girls ages 4-12 We are very excited about our location for the Summer!! This camp offers a combination of traditional sports games like floor hockey, soccer, basketball, flag football, handball, wiffleball, physical education activities such as tag games, pinball, battleship, virtual space tag, north south, gold rush, capture the football, and various cooperative games. We ask that our full day campers bring a (peanut butter free) snack and lunch and water bottle, and our half day campers bring a peanut butter free snack and water bottle. Children are divided by age into small groups and will participate in developmentally appropriate activities for their groups. Generally the groups contain children of no more than a year apart and we do our best to maintain an 8:1 ratio of campers to coaches and sometimes even 6:1 for our youngest groups.
