Thank you so much for supporting Camp Common Ground's effort to get our youth leaders in Oakland to camp! Your attendance and participation at the launch of our second fundraiser will be imperative to ensuring that our youth from diverse racial and economic backgrounds can stand together this summer to break down barriers that exist between their communities. Come hungry and ready to drink, and don't forget your laptops, smartphones, tablets, etc. that we will use to get the word out about the fundraiser to all of our networks! What's the impact we will make in one day? The fundraiser will last for the entire month of March. During last month's fundraiser, Camp Common Ground supporters exceeded the fundraising goal of $4800. The $5400 raised will bring 4 Oakland youth to camp. During this fundraiser, we will raise $13,200, which will bring 16 more Oakland youth to camp--6 more on full scholarships and 10 on partial scholarships. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Kundalini Yoga Kids Camp: Ages 4 - 8 w/ Celia - Santa Monica, CA
Summer break is an opportunity to unwind and recharge as we unplug from the busy demands of the school year. Join us this summer for a Kids Kundalini Yoga Camp, an opportunity to experience the foundations of Kundalini Yoga and explore a practice of self-awareness. Through yoga, meditation, dance, stories, and hands-on activities we will journey through the bliss and playfulness of Kundalini yoga. Through this practice children can gain improved focus, a boost in confidence and Self-awareness, and build the foundation of their identity. Yogi Bhajan describes the key to child raising as giving the child values; to create dependable children, not dependent children. “Give children their own security: Truth and God. Give them the true identity of themselves and you will have angels on the Earth.” - Yogi Bhajan Give your child the opportunity to share and engage in a community of awareness and gain the tools to maintain an enlightened mind, body, and soul! This annual leadership training camp is a gathering of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual, allied, and intersex (LGBTQQAAI) designed and created by youth activists and allies who are dedicated to defeating homophobia and transphobia and creating brave, supportive schools for everyone. Camp is driven by young people. This year we are renting a huge camp at Cuivre River State Park with Cabins, Dinning Hall, Firepit and even a pool located just a little over an hour from St. Louis, MO next to Troy, MO. Baker University Premier Soccer Camp - Baker University
The Baker University Soccer Programs and BCRC will host the Baker University Premier Soccer Camp this June 25-27 at the Baldwin City campus this summer for ages 10-18 for both boys and girls. The camp will be under the direction of Nate Houser, Baker University Director of Soccer; Davy Phillips, Head Coach of Baker University Womens Soccer Team and Matt Trumpp, former Baker University All-American and Sporting KC Academy Head Coach. The overnight camp will run from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. each day with breakfast, lunch and dinner mixed in with technical sessions, tactical sessions, video/pool sessions, and evening games. An early bird special is in place for those that register before June 1. The costs include professional instruction, three meals a day, housing in on-campus residential halls and a camp T-shirt.
