AKA presents Football and Basketball for Week 9 of the AKA All Sports Camp at the Coon Rapids Ice Center. With the NFL, college, and high school mini-camps getting started all around the country, we wanted to the North Metro a youth football camp. Boys and girls are welcomed and encouraged to partake in the football events. Events include drills, obstacle courses, offensive and defensive techniques and plenty of flag football games for everyone. Kids will also get a Basketball Camp, complete with skills, games and competitions. Featured Field Trip : Valley Fair Amusement and Water Park, August 6. FYI - The actual day camp runs from 9am-4pm though kids are welcome to get dropped off as early as 7am and picked up as late as 6pm. There is so much activity between these hours! Two shows on Friday July 29th at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in The Evergreen Theater. Calling actors, singers, and dancers! The Evergreen School Summer Performing Arts Program is putting on a big show and we need your talent! In this two week production, students become members of a small cast, and each day is filled with fun activities that build skills for musical theater. This years show is The Lion King. Every student enrolled receives a copy of the music and the script in advance of rehearsals. Auditions take place on the first day of class. In this production, everyone will be strongly featured with solos for all. On the last day, July 29, in partnership with our Backstage Crew and Costume Crew classes, actors will present two big performances (3:00 pm and 7:00 pm) complete with sets, costumes and lights. Attendance is required for all days of these two weeks and at both shows. This successful summer program has a team of five experienced teaching artists all lead by Evergreens Vanessa Miller.
