Come along as we help Annie and Jack, two normal kids from Frog Creek, Pennsylvania (much like you), to free Morgan le Fay from a spell, solve ancient riddles and save four old stories from being lost for good. This camp will use the Magic Tree house books to serve as a guide as campers try to become Master Librarians. Each day will include reading, time outside and a snack. Work with Rey to guide the new droid, BB-8, through a mission. Then, join Leia to create and share your own game in a galaxy far, far away. Students will learn to write JavaScript to power their games taking their games to the next level and applying more JavaScript. Great follow-up to students who have taken "Minecraft and JavaScript" as well as for first-time coders. 347-787-0435
Teen Camp 9-4pm wk 5 - Frankfort Park District
The Frankfort Park District would like to present Teen Adventures Summer Day Camp program for youth entering 7th ? 9th grade in the fall. This full day camp will provide plenty of outdoor activities, water days, arts & crafts, and a field trip each week that a teen will enjoy. Special guests will be invited to this camp including sports, art and science instructors. Teen Adventures Summer Day Camp will be held at Commissioners Park, located at 22108 S. 80th Avenue in Frankfort, along with the use of Chelsea Middle School, which is located next to Commissioners Park. Drop off and pick up will take place at Chelsea Middle School, located at 22265S. 80th Ave. The camp will run from 9 ? 4pm, Monday thru Friday, with a before and after care option. Bring a bag pack, lunch and water bottle each day. Lunch may be included on certain field trip days. Registration must be done in person at our main office located at the Founders Community Center, 140 Oak Street. A copy of your child?s birth certificate will be required at the time of registration. Join a fashion trend that is earning lots of attention these days. (Think Macklemore!) Youll look at thrift shop fashions and your own old favorites in new ways as you deconstruct and reconstruct them into entirely new looks. Your fashion designer/teacher will help you figure out how to chop them up and sew them back together in new and trending ways. If you want even more of a personal look, then stitching and painting are possibilities. Were thinking sweaters, jackets, and jeans but you can add bags, shoes, or scarves.
