Teen Week Overnight Camp - Fort Worth, TX
At YMCA Camp Carter Overrnight Camp, campers live, play and build deep bonds with their peers. Campers must rely on the others in their cabin groups to share daily responsibilities. Each cabin is led by a senior counselor with overnight camp experience and each unit is led by an upper class college student studying education, recreation or another appropriate field of study. Campers will spend time with their cabin group, making new friends, exploring the property and participating in all kinds of fun activities like climbing the 60′ climbing wall or hiking to see Old Man Tucker’s truck. Cabin groups will come together as units during the week and participate in camp fires, cookouts and group competitions and games. Everyone in camp will meet for meals, messages and devotions and to sing camp songs at the top of their lungs. YMCA Camp Carter Overnight Camp runs from Sunday afternoon until Friday evening and includes 15 meals and overnight accommodations in a fully climate controlled cabins with lots of supervision by our well trained staff.

Period 1 - Beginning Woodworking - NBJH Room 116
Incoming 5th and 6th graders will learn the basic usage and safety of HAND TOOLS including a coping saw, file, sanding block, and cordless drill. Some small machines may be used such as the scroll saw, spindle sander, Dremel engraver, and drill press. All activities will be demonstrated and supervised by Mr. Caris, the current Woodworking teacher at NBJH. Students will choose a project from a beginner list. Other projects will be available if time permits. Projects choices include a can lamp, small cutting board, name block, or tombstone clock. 8475043400 x2520

Young campers will be exposed to wonderful childrens literature selections, explore a variety of art materials, create crafts, enjoy sand and water play, sing songs, play games and participate in a balance of indoor and outdoor activities. Campers must be able to manage toileting & dressing needs independently; and have not yet attended kindergarten. Daily nutritious snacks are provided. All campers should wear their swimsuit under their shorts for times of water play and bring a towel for drying off after fun in the sprinkler. Camp Counselor Application - Ensworth School
For Ensworths Lower-Middle School Camp Counselor positions, please fill out the following pages and submit your application online for consideration. Before beginning the online application, please review the online camp brochure and the application questions for preview available on the Summer Camps page of the Ensworth web site. The application is open to current Ensworth students who are age 14 or older by June 1. We typically receive many more applications than positions available; not everyone who applies will receive a position.
