Nurture In Nature is a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization whos mission is to enrich and empower the lives of children and adults with disabilities by connecting them to nature. We are excited to partner with Camp Tuolumne Trails this summer and offer sponsorship for 20-30 children between the ages of 5-13 years to attend camp. We believe in creating an environment conducive for healthy, natural exploration of the outdoors, therefore we sponsor a support person to attend camp with our campers. Support personnel can be a parent, caretaker, or sibling familiar to the camper to help ease the transition to the outdoors. Our services focus on children residing in Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Mariposa and San Joaquin counties. If you are interested in having your child participate in our program please contact Jeanah Nomelli at 209-606-9712 or to further discuss your childs needs to ensure eligibility for the upcoming free of cost 2016 summer program , set for July 10-13. We will fill spots on a first come first serve basis for 30 campers. 2016 JOE RUSSELL PATRIOT WRESTLING CAMPS George Mason University Head Wrestling Coach Joe Russell is gearing up for wrestling camps. Camps include 3 commuter Folkstyle Technique Camps July 25-29 (high school only), August 1-5 (ages 6 - 18) and August 8-12 (ages 6 - 12) and a Parent/Child Family Camp August 5-6. The 2016 staff will be headlined by the Mason coaching staff and wrestlers. Coach Russell brings in outstanding credentials as both an athlete and coach. Coach Russell has THREE NCAA national championship rings from the University of Minnesota as an assistant coach. Patriot camps will not only be beneficial to the competitors but for coaches to learn and interact with one of the most knowledgeable coaches in our profession. Camp will be held in the Field House on George Mason Universitys campus. We will be offering top-notch technique stemming from the Patriot wrestling system along with one-on-one interaction with Patriot wrestlers and coaches. Our GOAL is to provide the campers with a meaningful experience where they grow as a wrestler and a person. Deep Space Robot Explorers - Goleta Presbyterian Church
During this week, we take campers to the edge of the universe on a variety of missions to make a distant planet habitable for humans. Campers explore the real science behind NASAs plan for Martian colonies and accompanying engineering design activities tied into space exploration. Deep Space Robot Explorers curriculum, Terraformers, has been developed by Carnegie Mellon Universitys Robot Academy. Using MINDSTORMS NXT and Terraformers software, along with videos and animations, campers learn programming, tackle building challenges, and hone their robotic and project planning skills. As an extra bonus, campers construct and launch two of their very own Estes Rockets.
