Lights, Camera...Camp! Session 6 - Westgate Recreation Center
Welcome to Lights, Camera?Camp! Columbus Recreation and Parks performing arts camp gladly returns for a third summer of theatrical fun. Campers will learn about acting, set design, costuming and much more. All week, the campers will build their confidence while trying something new. We will showcase their accomplishments at the end of each week with a short performance for friends and family to enjoy! Theme: Under the Sea Flexible drop off time between 7:30-9 am. Flexible pick up time between 4-6 pm. Breakfast and lunch provided. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Payment Information Payment by credit card is required at time of registration. You may choose to pay your camp in full or make a $10 non-refundable deposit per week. Your credit card will automatically be charged 1 week prior to each session. Week 3 PM - Fly Fishing - NESS
Come join NESS to learn about the fantastic sport of fly fishing. Saltwater fly fishing is used to target a variety of species available depending on the season. Striped bass and bluefish are local all summer, with the occasional transient like banded rudder fish and jack crevalle. Learn saltwater specific fly fishing techniques to fish your local waters. Gain experience in casting, tackle and fly selection, rigging, fish fighting and proper release techniques. This activity demands specific methods and large areas of space so enrollment is limited. Students should bring their own fishing rods and tackle ready for use. Some NESS rods are available and bait will be provided, please call to inquire. Civil War Life - Old Trail School
Explore the Civil War with author, historian and former Gettysburg National Park Ranger, Jeff Evans. Throughout the course of the week we will experience Civil War drill, clothing, equipment and even food. Campers receive their own Civil War enlistment and discharge papers and even muster for pay. The Battles of Antietam and Gettysburg will be used to examine the world of Civil War battle. The role of local units will be closely examined.
