The San Jose Museum of Art, full-day art camps offer in-depth art experiences for South Bay youth. Our campers gain access to the Museums galleries outside of normal operating hours as they discover artistic design principles through drawing, painting, and sculpting techniques! Led by Museum faculty and inspired by our current exhibitions, the Museums popular Art Camps teach kids how to look at, talk about, and create their own art. Each student receives an art supply kit containing all the materials they need, and the camp culminates in a one-day public exhibition of student work. Young artists explore drawing, painting mixed media, sculpture, and design as they visit the galleries to gather inspiration from exhibited artwork. Campers look for stories within the art while studying formal art elements such as line, shape, color, and texture. (408) 271-6846

Too Much Fun For One Summer
I was worried about what to do with the kids this summer because of my new job. Thanks to Camp Radians I didn't have to worry. They had so much fun every week. Between the swimming (which they can't get enough of) and the museum field trips I feel like they had extended recess. I also like the focus on culture through crafts and food. We are so proud to announce that 4RKids Capital Campaign will be hosting the Turkey Trot 5k & fun run on Thanksgiving Day! Route will be through Heritage Hills and Willow West. Girls Lacrosse Weekend Day Camp - Costello Sports Complex
The camp is intended to teach players the fundamentals of lacrosse from A to Z. Players will be grouped according to their age and ability. They will receive both individual and team instruction. The USM staff is geared up to give the beginning player the skills necessary to compete, while challenging event he most advanced youngster. This camp will emphasize skill development and both individual and team concepts. Each player will receive special attention according to their individual needs. Our goal is to develop skills, team play and overall ability so that each player becomes more knowledgeable and better able to apply these concepts to game situations. The philosophy will be to improve through hard work, develop individual and team skills and to have a positive and fun experience. Girls entering grade 3 through grade 12 and at least age 8 by September 1. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There will be a $5 credit card processing fee added at checkout. Adventurous middle school students will love this camp. Were hosting a 6-day, 5-night adventure camp that includes 2 days of whitewater rafting, spelunking in lava tubes, hiking to mountaintop vistas, biking through the valley, and learning watershed science. Well be based in the White Salmon River Valley in Trout Lake, Washington. Students should expect to make new friends, learn new ways of traveling in the outdoors, and come home excited about exploring the Columbia River Gorge and the Cascade Mountains.
