Where: Wroubel Center, main gym, outdoor & sand courts About: Students who attend this camp will work on all aspects of conditioning, including but not limited to speed training, agility, quickness, and anaerobic conditioning. This camp incorporates sprint mechanics and footwork as it relates to various cone, ladder, band and sprint drills, first step quickness and lateral movements. Students will be exposed to different resisted movements as well as basic agility and plyometrics. Great for sports that need high levels of conditioning like Soccer, Basketball, Lacrosse, etc. By using some of these techniques, some of the 2015 football players lowered their 40-yd dash & pro-agility and increased their vertical jump. This will also help soccer with improving pre-season testing results and in-season conditioning. **Sign up for both speed & agility sessions and pay only $100. Discount will automatically load at checkout.** What to wear/bring: Athletic attire, shoes for indoor and outdoor, socks, water bottle, and a readiness to prepare for your upcoming season. Loving Care "Kids for Kids" Campaign 5K &1 Mile Fun Run - Ottawa, OH
Come join the fun! It's a great way to be part of teaching children the importance of helping others while getting some exercise! This year’s event will be focused on helping others. Barrett Lammers, a preschool student here at Loving Care, was born with polycystic kidney disease. He had been doing well managing with this until a few months ago when an abnormal growth was found between his liver and pancreas called a choledochal cyst. This required him to have an extensive surgery and rehabilitation this spring. His prognosis is positive, however, he will need to have continued close monitoring throughout his entire life. We are planning a 5K Run, 1 Mile Fun Run and Diaper Dash with all proceeds from this event being donated to Barrett’s family to assist with medical expenses.
Youth Fun-Damental Basketball Camp - Roscommon, MI
This exciting camp opportunity is for boys and girls entering the 3rd through 8th grade. With four days of fun and learning, using a variety of drills, skills, contests, and games, your athlete will have a chance to be active and leave with the necessary tools to develop their game for their future. Postive social interaction with others their age and with their basket coach will help them in more ways than just basketball skills. Camp is Monday - Thursday, August 22-25, from 10am-3pm and cost is $50. Early drop off and pick up is available for an additional $2 per hour. Maximum registration of $100 per family. (Compare to your child care costs, Example: 1 camper at $50/20 hours of instruction time = $2.50 hour.) Each camper will receive a t-shirt. Endless Summer 80's Beach Boot Camp Bash - Ocean City, MD
Come one come all.. the season is almost over and it is time for the locals to have a friendly competition. There will be 4 events to compete in. Teams consist of 4- 6 people and must be even numbered between male and female participants. The biggest attraction will be an inflatable obstacle course set up on the beach! The second event is a tray carry competition on the beach- try not to spill! The third event is our rendition of ski-ball- each person will have 9 mallets to try to score the most points. The final event is a flip-pong competition...2 of our favorite activities mixed into one flip cup and beer pong. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams. There will also be prizes awarded to the best dressed 80's team. Jagermeister and Natty Boh will be sponsoring the event. Mug & Mallet will have happy hour prices all day to keep everyone fed and hydrated!!! The cost is $75.00 dollars a team and proceeds will go to the Ocean City Downtown Association. This is the first year trying this event and we are really looking forward to making it a huge success!
