Solids, Liquids, Gases, Oh My! Have you ever wondered how to make a liquid grow spikes? Or why your cookie recipe needs baking soda? Or how to make liquid water that is colder than ice? This is the camp to get those answers all while having fun. Students will experiment with safe, hands on projects and games exploring the tiniest bits of matter. Each day we will look at a different topic of chemistry and have several activities and experiments related to that topic. Some topics may include food chemistry. This camp gives students the chance to develop socially and musically. My 10 year old daughter loves the fact she can be out in nature, feels safe and can learn about music with like-minded children. The second annual Kid's Safety Boot Camp will be held on May 20th from 8:30AM to 4:30PM. This years camp is for students completing grades five through 7. Registration is limited to 25 students. SUNDAY MAY 15th at Osbourn High School football fields in Manassas 9:00-12:00 kids ages 4-15 Football agility drills,blocking,tackling techniques,running,kicking,speed and agility and much more !! $25 per child on site registration first come first served. IN CASE OF STEADY RAIN CAMP WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR A LATER DATE. RULES: * $25 per child CASH ONLY no checks or credit cards *Parents will not be allowed on the fields but may watch from outside the fence. This is to insure crowd control and make sure the children can focus on the coaches. *No Refunds *All waivers must be completed and turned in before your child is allowed to enter the practice field. PARKING available at METZ or near the OHS practice field back entrance. * No abusive language towards volunteers coaches or staff. If this becomes a problem you will be asked to leave immediately. After the deadly onslaught of Louie's Lieutentants last month, Fort Seymour appears to have picked up the pieces...but to what end and for how long? Come work on the everyday FUNdamentals of your game: shooting, footwork, passing, ball-handling and defense. The only way to improve the proper way is to practice the proper things and then fall in love with the process. Polpis PM Van - Week 4 - Polpis Harbor
In an effort to alleviate the traffic going to Polpis in the mornings, NCS is offering a bus to Polpis Harbor from the Nantucket Elementary School. Space is limited, so we suggest registering for this service early. This year the bus is being offered as a round trip service. The afternoon sessions bus will leave the Nantucket Elementary School promptly at 12:35am in order to get the children to their morning programs on time. The bus will return to the Elementary School with the sailors by 3:45pm and Parents/Guardians are responsible for promptly picking up their children. There is a $20 late pick-up fee, which will be billed to your NCS account, if a parent/guardian is later than 15 minutes to pick-up their student. ** Please note: This is a weekly sign-up, not bi-weekly! 5082286600.0
