LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Wave Runners Day Camp- Session 1 (4th-8th Graders) - Environmental Studies Center
Campers will have lots of fun while learning to care for their environment. Outdoor activities and environmental learning are the focus of this camp. New this year! Snack bar open each morning and ice cream day on Tuesdays. All selections $1.00. Activities include: *A boat trip on the Indian River Lagoon *Seining *Setting up and maintaining aquaria *Area beach and park visits *Fishing *Cast netting *Various water activities *Snorkeling *Arts & Crafts *Games & relay races *Special Friday activities All teachers are state certified and camper/teacher ratio is 20/1. In addition, high school counselors assist teachers with supervision. All water activities are closely monitored. One week minimum, $180.00 per week. Summer Camp Music Festival - Chillicothe, IL
We are happy to announce we will be teaming up with Summer Camp Music Festival to host an ‘Art That Feeds’ Food Drive in Chillicothe, Illinois from May 22-24, 2015. All food donations will benefit the East Peoria Area Food Bank in Peoria, Illinois. One of our very talented artist is creating a Summer Camp event poster, which will be FREE to patrons who donate 20 non-perishable food items or a suggested monetary donation. Food donations will be collected at the Conscious Alliance ‘Art That Feeds’ Gallery, which will be depicted on the Summer Camp Festival guide and map. Conscious Alliance always encourages food donations to be low-sodium and health oriented products. ORGANIC food donations are especially encouraged. RAMEN NOODLES will NOT be accepted for the free poster. Thank you for your continued support in feeding the hungry everywhere the music plays!

Leader In Training Day Camp (L.I.T) - Rockhaven Camp and Retreat Center (FPC)
If you have a heart for mission, love being at camp and the desire to become a camp volunteer or counselor then this LIT camp is just for you. Youth 6th – 9th grade are invited to put faith into action and join us for one or both of these Leadership camps where we will focus on Christian Leadership and Discipleship. LITs will spend part of the week enjoying traditional camp fun and the rest of the time shadowing our trained staff in leadership development and faith building activities while serving as mentors and junior counselors to our day campers. This class will merge the fundamentals of drawing and painting while exploring new concepts of self-expression. Taught by Ms. Hasanthi, this class is for students who are from 3 1/2 to 7 years of age. Classes offer young children exposure to Verity of art medians to help develop their fine motor skills. The art class develops the childs ability to create independent drawings on their own, which enables children to participate in international and local art competitions. They will develop strength of mind and an ordered intellect and will be able to think for themselves. Students use pastels, acrylic and tempera paints to create their art work. Adventure Camp - Week 3 (4 Days Only) - The Greenwell Foundation
Adventure Camp (ages 8-12 by first day of camp session). This week, Camp runs for 4 days only (Tuesday to Friday) Why is Adventure Camp different? Campers are provided the opportunity to explore further into the park with longer hikes, shelter building, and learning how to build a campfire – and then Smores! Part of Adventure Camp is letting the group direct what activities they would like to do by coming up with new and exciting adventures. The staff has the freedom to be creative when making these fun adventures come to life. Campers will have an opportunity to kayak twice during the week, including a visit to the Hollywood Oyster Company. They will create and run their own unique obstacle course, go fishing and crabbing from the pier, and build their own boats out of recycled materials and test to see if they are sea-worthy. Mid-week, campers will hike to the Manor House area where they can build forts with bamboo, explore the gardens, play water games and capture the flag, visit the Barn and participate in our Nature Time program.
