LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Resident High Performance Camp (Housing Included) - Stanford
Open to any and all male entrants aged 9-18 years, this camp is designed primarily for competitive gymnasts, levels 6 through 10. Athletes choosing the Resident option will get the full Stanford experience, staying in the student dormitories and eating in the dining commons. Gymnasts will be grouped by age and competitive experience. This is a unique camp, as it is intended for highly motivated and college bound gymnasts. The High Performance Camp is gymnastics focused with 6-7 hours of training per day. Coached by members of the Stanford Mens Gymnastics Team as well as the Stanford Coaching staff, this camp offers gymnasts the opportunity to raise their skills to the next level. During camp, gymnasts will be coached and taught each aspect of training at the highest level. This includes technical coaching on all events, air-sense, execution/presentation, strength and flexibility. Additionally they will be provided insight on the cycling process (assuring peak performance at a specific time), the NCAA Mens Gymnastics program, Stanfords Mens Gymnastics program and being eligible for a collegiate program. This was the first time our daughter was going away for the summer and we were understandable cautious but optimistic. Doing the research on Brewster before signing up helped because there were so many positive reviews. I'm happy to report they lived up to those reviews in so many ways. I was especially impressed at how the counselors made it seem like every kid was a priority. This makes me wish I could go to summer camp! We'll be back next year!... Read More...

PLEASE HELP US SPREAD THE WORD. Invite your friends who were campers with you or served with you at FM Youth Camp! www.fmyouth.wix.com/reunion --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Who: All past campers and staff from FM Youth Camp What: Friday night it starts with a time to share memories and spend the night at the campgrounds! We will all spend the night in the dorms to bring back memories of when we were campers/staff at FM Youth! This event is for 7th grade and above. If you are 6th grade or below, a parent/guardian must be attending the event as well. We would LOVE to have families come! Bring your spouse and children; just make sure to register them too!! Saturday will be treated as a day of camp and a work day. It will conclude with a pie auction and hamburger fry at 6pm. Proceeds raised from this will go towards the trustees. Composing for Video Games - MacPhail Center for Music - Minneapolis
Take your creativity to the next level and learn to compose music that enhances your video gaming experience. Even if youve never tried composing before you can learn to manipulate sounds to make the action on your screen come alive. Students will use Propellerheads Reason/Record software in our portable music technology lab to compose music for existing video games as well as create music for their own game concepts and scenes. Any student currently enrolled in band, orchestra or choir is welcome to join this camp, even if you havent had any composing experience. Family and friends are invited to attend a multi-media performance on the last day of camp. Register for either the morning or the afternoon session the week of June 27-July 1. Venture on and around the water using maps and clues to solve these maritime mysteries. Use compasses, kayaks, microscopes, historical stories, and animal evidence to decipher the hints to reveal and find your destinations.
