Superheroes are known for their ability to focus their superpowers and use them for compassion. Congressman Tim Ryan says, "Mindfulness will help children to pay attention and be kind to themselves and others as they swim in a world of distraction and aggression." In his book A Mindful Nation, Ryan highlights increased focus, decreased stress and a quieter mind as benefits of a regular mindfulness practice.
