For new and returning students enrolled in EDSs Young 3 and 3 year old programs. Students and families get to know their new teachers and become familiar with the EDS campus. This is a great way for your little one to get even more excited about school! 7067331192.0
Home School Day: Take it Apart - The Mini Maker
During this session the kids are given safety instruction for every day use of basic hand tools such as screw drivers. Your kids work in groups to take apart every day household items that the kids are familiar with. This includes non-operational power tools, computers, home printers, alarm clocks, DVD players, ect. This session is designed for the kids to understand the concept that every day items are built and there are components, big or small inside of them. They get to see what is inside and how it is made. 517-233-1524
Music for Babies and Toddlers-Saturday - OCS Arts Center
You and your child will enjoy this special bonding time through peek-a-boo, finger plays, bouncing games, and theme-based songs and chants. This class provides a fun, learning environment for introducing your child to the wonderful world of music. Hey, I like my house.. but I like yours more. Think Ill take it! Yep, thats a hermit crab for you - always taking your stuff! Lets capture a few of them and see what shells they prefer and why. Does a hermit prefer a sturdy fortress of a shell or a light easy-to-run with shell? Well track them by their trails and see where they go. Then of course, we have to build our own houses - light or sturdy- and protect them from other marauding hermits. And by the way, whats the difference between an ocean hermit crab and a land hermit crab? And have you ever seen pictures of crazy-big land crabs that use coconuts for shells?!! You will. Enjoy the spotlight, love singing and dancing, or do you just want to be a little silly and have fun? The drama program is for you! This summer, the drama program returns crazier than ever and will be overflowing with things to do for kids of all ages and interests. Each day will consist of various theater games and activities that enhance acting ability, diction, improvisational skills, spatial awareness and movement, singing, show tunes appreciation, backstage expertise, and most importantly confidence on and off the stage. These activities will be coupled with rehearsals for a short play that will culminate with a performance on Friday afternoon for fellow camp-goers, family, and friends.
