Adventurers are assigned to a small group of 10 to 16 campers and spend the week with counselors known for boundless energy and creative imaginations. Over the course of the week Adventurers can expect to canoe, swim, take a hayride, explore nature, make table top pottery, make nature crafts, hike to the fire tower, play games and have an all-round good time. This 68 year old camp is designed for children from 2nd grade to 11th grade. The camp has a strong Jewish heritage which influences the activities they offer. My 12 year old son enjoys the friendly staff and the fun activities. He has grown in confidence while discovering who he is in relation to the community at large. With summer around the corner, many parents find themselves struggling to find fun, educational activities to schedule for their children. Working parents scramble to find childcare providers who offer a safe environment while still delivering their kids some real summer fun. Smoky Mountain Sk8way & FUN ZONE has once again partnered with area teachers and specialists to offer a fun, affordable, healthy and safe summer day camp experience for kids who've finished kindergarten through sixth grade. Skate, Learn, Play is the theme. This year the summer camp has gone the extra mile to become an officially licensed camp by the State of North Carolina which allows them to accept subsidized payments from Southwestern Child Development. The Sk8way has also added a 5,000 sq ft outdoor park for the kids to play in, new games and activities and even better, most will agree, they will have nutritious breakfast and lunches provided by the Haywood County School System. Laurens First and Goal Football Camp PA - Lafayette Colleges Metzgar Athletic Campus
LFG Football Camp is a one day, instructional clinic for high school aged players taught by volunteer college coaches from across all divisions. It is a unique opportunity to hone your skills, learn new techniques and drills and showcase your talent to the more than 300 college coaches volunteering their time and talents to coach for the day. LFG is not a combine - there is no timed 40, vertical, height/weight measurement, ect. It is a learning experience open to players of all levels. Players are grouped by graduation year (rising seniors and underclassmen) and position chosen, and rotate through offensive and defensive sessions throughout the day. Kickers have the option of staying with the kicking specialist coaches for the entire day, or rotating to another position if desired. Quarterbacks also have the option of playing quarterback all day, but we encourage players to rotate to another position. Players do not wear pads or helmets, but we recommend mouthguards.
