POTTERY ON THE WHEEL - Walker-MacKenzie Studio - Gertrude Herbert
Instructor: Twila Brock Beginning and advanced beginner students will have the opportunity to continue developing their skills in the various approaches to throwing functional ware on the wheel under the guidance of Twila Brock who specializes in this area. Instruction will be focused on basic techniques. Forms will be thrown, altered, and assembled to create various vessels. Projects will be tailored to the students skill level. Glazing techniques will also be addressed. Students must provide a clean towel each week. No extra supplies will be necessary. *7 Tuesdays beginning April 14 & 1 Thursday, May 28 (20 hours total) 2 PLUs for GA teachers are available; to coordinate please contact the GHIA Education Director. 706-722-5495

A Star is Born! - Artists Exchange
Is your child a ham at all your family gatherings? Do you live with a drama queen or king? Has your child been bit by the acting bug? Any boy or girl with an active imagination and sense of play will love this fast-paced, energizing class. Students are encouraged to be as free, expressive, and silly as they can be – the bigger, the better! They learn the basics of acting, improvisation, and character development with fun warm-ups, exercises, games, and simple scenes. No experience necessary; come one and come all. Teen Camp 9-4pm wk 3 - Frankfort Park District
The Frankfort Park District would like to present Teen Adventures Summer Day Camp program for youth entering 7th ? 9th grade in the fall. This full day camp will provide plenty of outdoor activities, water days, arts & crafts, and a field trip each week that a teen will enjoy. Special guests will be invited to this camp including sports, art and science instructors. Teen Adventures Summer Day Camp will be held at Commissioners Park, located at 22108 S. 80th Avenue in Frankfort, along with the use of Chelsea Middle School, which is located next to Commissioners Park. Drop off and pick up will take place at Chelsea Middle School, located at 22265S. 80th Ave. The camp will run from 9 ? 4pm, Monday thru Friday, with a before and after care option. Bring a bag pack, lunch and water bottle each day. Lunch may be included on certain field trip days. Registration must be done in person at our main office located at the Founders Community Center, 140 Oak Street. A copy of your child?s birth certificate will be required at the time of registration.
