Two day speed and strength camp for athletes 8-13. This two-day camp will be from 8am-11am on Monday and Tuesday. Kids will gain knowledge and participate in Olympic Weightlifting, Strength Training, and Speed Training. Cost is $120 for both days or $75 for one day. Spots are limited to 30 total athletes to ensure one on one instruction from the coaches. General Information/Standard of Conduct -Arrival: Camp check in will begin at 12:00 PM on Monday afternoon. Imagine the great cities of the world and their monumental and powerful architecture. We will create our own architectural firm for the chance to build things in 3D: a hockey rink, football stadium, golf course, art gallery, a museum, a roller coaster theme park, an aquarium, or even the great Roman Coliseum! As future architects, learn about perspective drawing and go outdoors to draw the architecture of Cary Academy. For the grand finale, our creative engineering skills will be challenged with the classic egg drop project where teams design a device to protect an egg from a 15 foot drop as campers from other summer programs watch the competition and cheer us on! 919-677-7839

HS Robotics with Arduino Week 3 - Merrill Engineering Building
A week-long camp for entering 10th, 11th, and 12th graders; or 9th graders who have taken a middle school camp. Campers will build and program machines that react to the world and to people using embedded computers, sensors, and motors based on the Arduino family of processors. This is a fun, engaging camp that doesnt need any prior experience, but uses "real" gear in creative ways. The Arduino system is used in the University of Utah undergraduate Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science courses, so this is a great way to see what goes on in those majors. This camp runs from 9AM-3PM, M-F. Some interest or aptitude in computers and/or building things is expected for this camp. Lunch is provided. 801-585-1726

Explore all the basics of throwing on the potters wheel making useful forms including mugs, bowls, plates, and so much more. Learn fun hand-building techniques in this small group camp where you will have access to your own wheel to use throughout the camp. After your pottery is created, you will decorate forms using a variety of colorful slips and glazes.
