Covenant Day School Basketball Camp will involve all the fundamental skills you are looking for. Coach Law and his staff will cover ball handling, shooting, passing, defense (team and individual), and many more skills that will help you take your game to the next level. The basketball camp will have team-building through the course of the camp with games from skill development to actual 5 on 5! Broadway Rocks - Ohlook Performing Arts Center
You cant stop the rhythm in our voices or the beat deep down in our bones as we pay tribute to the greatest rock ‘n roll musicals. Star-studded songs and scene selections from such musicals as American Idiot, Spring Awakening, Heathers, and Kinky Boots among others, will rock our teens as they focus on acting, voice, and dance for a presentation on the final day of camp for family and friends. 817-421-2825
PICASSO (1.5 hrs) FRI 3:30-5:00 - Loudoun Arts Center
Teachers will focus on strengthening the students technique and improving technical skill. Once students are equipped with the appropriate skills, they will feel confident in transforming their ideas and personal style into tangible art pieces. Class Objective: Students will be provided tools to transform their concept sketches into fully fleshed out artistic creations. SJC - Discovers 2D Animation - SJC Long Island
Computer animation 2D: Using open source and freely available software, campers will learn to create 2D environments, animate their drawings and add color and sound. These are similar to the techniques used in creating professional animated films and video games. Honors Pre-Calculus - Hopkins Campus
This course is open to Blake students who have successfully completed Honors Algebra II and who seek to enroll in AP Calculus AB after completing Honors Geometry; Blake students who have successfully completed Honors Algebra II and Honors Geometry and who seek to enroll in AP Calculus AB; Students from outside Blake who seek to complete the equivalent of a full-year Honors Pre-Calculus course during the summer. They must possess a strong foundation in algebra because the course contains advanced material and moves at a rapid pace; it is not recommended for remedial purposes. Before registering, Blake students must obtain their teachers permission to advance, as indicated by a signed Mathematics Acceleration Contract. Successful advancement requires a grade of B or higher on each of the comprehensive exams given during the summer course. This course emphasizes functions and their characteristics. Topics include: function notation and transformations; combinations and compositions of functions; linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions; and analytical trigonometry. In addition, sequences, series, parametric equations and limits are introduced in preparation for calculus.
