LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Week 2 Day Camper - Rose Lake Youth Camp
Our always popular Day Camp is a favorite for many children ages 4-13. This session runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Wednesday through Friday. The cost includes breakfast, lunch and a snack. This is a great introduction to camp life and activities and focuses on the all-time favorite camp activities of swimming, archery, hiking, songs, kayaking, gaga pit, bouldering wall, crafts, and games. Depending on the age and abilities of our youngest day campers, some activities may be adjusted or modified to be age appropriate. Day Camp has an optional Thursday overnight, allowing children to get a taste of resident camp. The Thursday Overnight includes dinner and an evening snack. Children will enjoy campfires and special events and games not offered during the normal Day Camp day. If you would like your child to participate, please indicate this option on the camp registration and there is no additional fee for the Thursday Overnight program. The minimum age for the overnight is 7 years of age. In addition, for an additional $15 families who need extended Day Camp care can sign children up for this option which runs 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Extended care includes breakfast. 231 768 4351

Great Equestrian Camp
This is a wonderful camp to send your child to if they love to ride horses. The counselors are great and seemed to instantly love the kids. My child stayed mostly in the equestrian part and learned a lot from the instructors. They seemed to love their jobs working with horses and kids. Youngsters and their families will enjoy stories, crafts, songs, and surprises at Toddler Boot Camp. This themed four-week story time is geared to children 1-5 years old to encourage them to transition from the baby stages to a big kid. Stories and songs such as "Bye Bye Binky," " No More Diapers," and "No More Monsters," will be shared to make transitioning for parent and child a fun experience.

This camp will be 3 days long and 2 hours per day. We will be working on Walk, Trot, Posting, Leading, Haltering, Steering, Grooming, Parts of the Saddle, Bridle and Horse, and fun trivia about care of ponies/horses. Every kid learns at their own pace. I am here to teach them about horses and riding, while being safe and aware. If they are soaring, I let them soar and will continue teaching them new things. If they need to slow down and work on some smaller things, then they get to. This young age group is here to learn and have fun doing it. Our young athletes celebrate the wide world of sports with a weeklong competition featuring sports and games from all over the globe. After the closing ceremony, campers will take their Friday field trip to the Riverwinds Community Center for some wall climbing, water sliding, and more! While morning activities are geared toward the weeks theme, all weekly FSMH camps include a trip to the pool Monday-Thursday for a swim lesson and play time. I have also taught Physical Education, Turkish and Character Education for both elementary and middle school students. Intro: In Turkish Conversation Club, we will use a variety of games and activities to promote Turkish language skills.
