The beauty of yoga is self discovery. The best time for that is now! Introducing a new Teen Yoga Camp at Essential Hot Yoga Glennwood location. It is often said by yoga students, "I wish I would have found yoga much younger". Yoga gently opens up the body and the mind for greater self love and compassion. The teen years can be very confusing with many physical changes resulting in emotional and mental stress. The connection of body and mind through the practice of yoga has been shown to benefit children greatly and provide a path for self regulation as they transition into young adults. In this special Teen Yoga Camp your child will have the opportunity to chat with other teens about issues surrounding their life. Meghan is a recent college graduate and Yoga Teacher who understands the struggles of the teen age years. Teen Plein Air: Art In Motion Camps #1 & 2 - Bow, WA
Choose from Camp #1 July 11th-15th or Camp #2 July 18th-July 22nd. Class Cost per week $87.50. Camp #1: 3:00pm-5:00pm -- Plein Air (**Students encouraged to participate in Part I & II) "Examining our surroundings in detail, seeing beauty not only in the spectacular but also in the smallest growing things" (Lowenfeld) . In addition to work in our cozy studio, small Plein-Air outings will be held at 2 locations during this one week workshop. Students will learn how to connect with their surroundings. Students develop their observation skills and increase their knowledge about the world around them. Parents expected to drive students to the Plein-Air location specified prior to class. They will learn basic hand sewing techniques by hand making their own pin cushion and then graduate to sewing a pillowcase, pajama pants a skirt and other cool stuff., including getting to participate in a community project. Session II Girls Basketball - Cornerstone University
Grades 7-11 (Overnight/Commuter Camp) Commuter campers follow the same daily schedule as the overnight campers. They are free to leave after league play (9:00PM) Check-in will be Monday morning from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM in the Bernice Hansen Athletic Center. Please look for postings to help make this time easier and more convenient for all. Parents, we will register your child as quickly as possible so that you are able to get to work on time. Each day we will have fundamental and team practice in the morning. Free time will be from 2:30 to 4:45. Campers may go back to their dorm to relax, play pool, ping-pong or stay in the gym and watch the camp counselors play basketball. Dinner is from 4:45 to 5:30 with league play from 6:00 to 9:00. If you are a commuting camper attending an overnight camp week, the cost of your dinner meal is not included in the camp tuition you paid. Therefore, you may purchase a dinner meal plan for the week at the time of registration.
