Chess - The Heights School
Learn the Royal Game the fun way! At Chess Camp, every hour is informative, and yet avoids the dryness of rote instruction. We provide boys with interactive lessons, individual matches, helpful principles, and much more than simply playing games for hours on end. Whether learning the game for the first time or looking to master it, boys ages 6-13 can enjoy the Game of Kings and all of its auxiliary benefits, including logic, prudence, patience, forethought, evaluation, and analytical skills. Most importantly, all activities will take place in a fun and enjoyable environment under thoughtful and cheerful instruction. Far from sitting in front of a chess board all day, the campers will also enjoy some sports and integrated activities. Come enjoy one of the oldest and greatest games with friends and fun. Spring Clinic - Princeton Stadium
Princeton Field Hockey will be offering a Spring Clinic and Play Day on Sunday, April 3rd from 1:30-4:30pm. The clinic is open to both individuals and teams and will take the format of a technical skill circuit followed by, small-sided games and a 7v7 round robin tournament. Princeton University players and coaches will be leading the skill circuit and small-sided games along with coaching the 7v7 teams. Places are limited and will be filled on a first come first served basis. Please arrive at the field no later than 1:15pm for registration. All athletes are to bring their own stick, shin guards, mouthguard, and a reversible pinnie with white on one side. (609) 258-3369

This camp is designed to help advanced players polish up their individual skills while learning to execute team strategies for winning rallies, games and matches. Following some initial review for individual skills the majority of the camp sessions will be dedicated to competitive drills and scrimmages. Instruction will be geared towards maximizing each individuals skills to maximize a teams opportunities for success utilizing drills and tactics that help Texas A&M win the SEC Championship. This camp is intended for experienced players with strong individual skills and understanding of the game. This camp is limited to players entering grades 9-12. Players must only click the "Join a Group" option, even if you will be attending as an individual player. If you are attending as an individual, select the Individual group option. If you are attending with a team, find your teams name on the list, and enter the password your coach provided.
Shining Stars - Musical Theatre (July 11) - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This camp gives young performers a chance to experience being in a theatrical production, focusing on individual and group creativity while working collaboratively as a team. Students will play theatrically based games and work hard on learning and rehearsing for a show. This camp also allows students to experience the rehearsal process and is a great way to prepare them to be a part of a full length play or musical in school or in the community. The campers will participate in a musical through learning songs, dances, and scenes for them to perform as a whole by the end of the session. INSTRUCTOR MICHAEL PAGE has been teaching theater for 8 years and has been choreographing in local community theaters for the past 10 years. He recently received a BA in Theater and Dance from Christopher Newport University. He currently works as a Music and Movement Teacher at VHBC Preschool as well as teaches classes at LTA, Mount Vernon REC Center, and Browne Academy.
