LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Simple Church (MALE) 7/11 Week #1 - Blue Grass Christian Camp
FOR CAMPERS WITH SIMPLE CHURCH GROUP ONLY. Any misplaced registrants will be removed from this session. Younger campers need a lot of reassurance and unconditional love, and that is exactly what they get at 7/11 Camp. For many kids, 7/11 Camp will be their first experience away from home. So, every action-packed 7/11 day hums with words of love and encouragement sung by a staff hand-picked for their Christ-like patience and sensitivity. Counselors coach and praise the kids while they learn and explore through games, pool activities, and much more. Each activity leads to greater confidence and character building. Counselor training builds moral and spiritual application into each and every activity session. The 7/11 leadership staff creatively share the importance of a life lived for Christ through themed events at night, 7/11 worship, nightly devotionals, and one-on-one time getting to know your child. Coasters Grades 2-3 - Community Cycling Center Bike Shop
From exploring new neighborhoods to spanning distances they didnt know they could ride, Coasters experience the empowerment of a week on two wheels. Riders build confidence in this camp by tackling many different riding situations both within parks and on the road. They also gain experience riding both up and downhill in conjunction with proper shifting techniques for those with geared bikes. Its not all hard work though – Coasters will take breaks from their bicycles by playing games in local parks. Its a packed week of fun! Please note: Coasters camp will ride on streets. To participate, riders must be able to consistently start and stop unassisted and ride in a straight line. Skills they will develop: • Proper execution of emergency and anticipated stops • Avoiding hazards • Shoulder check and scanning for cars • Identifying types of intersections and crossing safely • Controlling speed riding down a hill • Signaling and communicating with other road users • Tube patching 503-288-8864 x321

Sculpture in Clay with Gul Ruk Selim (Ages 12-17) - Young People
Students will work with clay and learn basic sculptural techniques, including modeling, adding and taking away material. Students will work from objects as models or from their imagination, creating both abstract and figurative sculptures. Learn how to construct light armature as well as techniques for constructing hollow cylinders and spheres and cuboids as the base of their forms. Students will also have the opportunity to sculpt a human head from a model! For this we would work with each other as models! Both new and experienced artists are welcome. 2035624927 x14

Elite Level/GK Specialty Camps Session #1 - Vonnie Gros Athletic Field
The WCU Field Hockey Elite Level & GK Specialty Camp offers a unique op-portunity for the serious field hockey athlete. The camp has been designed to challenge athletes in settings different from the traditional camp situations. The camps will offer tactics and techniques in goal scoring, defensive strategy, and goal-keeping technique. Each evening will conclude under the lights with game play. These offerings will appeal to the serious field hockey athlete! EQUIPMENT Each camper should bring a stick, shinguards, sneakers or turf shoes, mouthguard, sunscreen, and a container of water (no glass). Goal-keepers must bring their own equipment.
