Coaches from the Mens Soccer program at Ashland University, lead by Head Coach Oliver Slawson, will focus on skill development for young soccer players. Campers will learn soccer skills and techniques through exercises and games specifically designed for young players. Campers are encouraged to learn and develop at their own pace, under the careful guidance of Ashland Mens Soccer Coaching staff and players. Coach Slawson was a 10-year Assistant Coach at The University of Akron and Director of the Akron Soccer Camps, prior to becoming the Head Coach at Ashland University in January 2016. Having developed thousands of campers and youth players in Northeast Ohio, Coach Slawsons Ashland Camp will be a fun and interactive week of soccer, where campers will experience technical development with the emphasis always on fun and learning through individual and small group training activities & games! Teen Community Emergency Response Team Camp - Peachtree City, GA
The Peachtree City Police Department will be hosting a Teen Community Emergency Response Team (TEEN CERT) camp beginning June 13th, 2016. The classes will be held Monday through Friday of that week ending on June 17th. The classes will start at 0800 and end at 1230 each day. The camp will be held in the training room at the Police Station. The TEEN CERT Program educates young adults about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Prospective candidates must be between 13 and 17 years of age at the time of registration and a resident of Georgia. Applicants will be required to complete an enrollment form and applicable waivers. The application and waivers must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. A local check will be conducted to determine the background of the participants as a pre-condition to acceptance into the program. There is no charge to attend this class; however, the class size will be limited. A meeting with the parents/legal guardians of those admitted into the program will be held prior...

August 1-11: Backpacking/ Digital Storytelling (Ages 13-16) - Mountain Kids!
We are psyched to bring our dual passions for getting into nature and documenting our adventures to Mountain Kids! Campers will spend the first day learning what it takes to makes a compelling video, composition and audio recording. Campers will then learn how to prepare and pack for a backpacking trip, the 6 Ws of preparing for any outdoor trip, map reading and leave no trace principles. We will spend time writing and creating stories on a two night backpacking trip. During the second week, campers will share their time between the recording studio, the computer lab and getting outside to create a 2-3 minute video of their adventures. On Thursday evening we will celebrate with a screening of their work. Equipment Needed: • Backpacking pack, sleeping pad, a sleeping bag, and a mess kit (bowl, fork, spoon, cup). Some campers will need a tent to share. • A small camera or phone to capture stills and video • A small notebook and a pencil (There is an additional $25 materials fee in addition to camp tuition) 505-699-6230

Can you hold your breath as long as a giant sea turtle? Pull as hard as a giant octopus, or bite as hard as a croc? EcoAdventures will provide the outdoor and indoor Arena you bring the skills. This August, its kids against beasts in a battle on the wild side. This is NO ordinary Olympics here at EcoAdventures. We will challenge you both physically and mentally. Do you have what it takes to lay down in cockroaches, eat bugs, race and alligator? We cant wait to see who wins GOLD, SILVER or BRONZE!
