Become a safer, more confident, and experienced cyclist. Explore the paths in Vasona Park and along Los Gatos Creek Trail from end to end. Take breaks to investigate life along the creek. Practice and improve your bike skills, such as panic stops, avoiding obstacles and navigating steep grades. Learn how make sure that your bike is in good working order and complete some basic repairs. Experiment with gears, examine the inner workings of bicycles, and learn some biking physics. Look at different kinds of bikes and see what they are designed to do best. Participants must bring their own helmet, two-wheel bicycle with gears and be comfortable riding up and down hills. Fall Softball Camp - Linton Youth League Sports Complex
We are pleased to announce a one day Fall Softball Camp open to players from 5 years of age to 8th grade. The camp will be held at the Linton Youth Complex on Saturday September 5th. This camp will be conducted by The Indiana Tribe coaches and staff and is open to everyone regardless of skill level and where a player lives. Players will be divided into age groups and we will focus on fundamental softball skills, game knowledge, and we will have fun doing it. Cost is $10/player and will include a lunch of a hot dog, chips and a drink. Players will be divided up in the afternoon for games and skills competitions. Camp times are from 9am-3pm. A separate instructional pitching time will be available from 4-6pm. Cost for the pitching clinic will be $5/player if you attended the camp or $10/player if the player is only attending the pitching clinic. We will focus on beginning pitching mechanics and drills. Ages 7 years to 8th grade are welcome. The one hour instructional sessions combine fundamental skills instruction with organized team competition with the goal of providing an enjoyable and educational after school athletic event. Developing players benefit by improving their individual skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and defending while, at the same time, learning how to work within the framework of a team. Boys and girls of all skill levels are encouraged to join.
