Sing! - Palace Education and Performance Center
Working with well known movie and Broadway songs, children will learn the fundamentals of singing. Each class will explore warming up and vocal technique with age appropriate tunes and vocal games. Children will also learn musical theatre performance techniques which will culminate in numbers performed for family and friends at the end of the year performance. Songs will be chosen from the classic Disney songbook through newer Broadway favorites. Past performance pieces have included such favorites as "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman" from Frozen, "Evrybody Wants to Be a Cat" from Disneys The Artistocats and "Choose Me" from The Castaways. Skills learned: fundamentals of vocal technique and placement, breath support, vowel formation, diction, "acting the song" Spring focus-solo performance technique, character voice 512-869-7469 x3
Supervised Practice Only (Mondays, Session 1) - Bradleys Shea Stadium
Join us in training you to be golf fit, in swing, body and mind, in a team setting. This program will start at the beginning of November and run through the end of February. We will meet for 1 1/2 hours a week (1 1/2 indoor golf training at Bradleys Indoor facility Weekly short game/ full swing super-vised practice, scoring, course management, fitness, nutrition and use of state of the art Swing Catalyst Video System. Hornet basketball camp will place an emphasis on the fundamentals of basketball. Campers will be evaluated and grouped with players of the same age and abilities. Camp will consist of fundamental stations, 3 on 3, 5 on 5 games, hot shot, free throw and 1 on 1 competition. Emphasis will be placed on teamwork and sportsmanship. This week campers will have a chance to get dirty (ok, thats every week!), plant their own giant sunflower and visit a working farm.
