Camp Kaleidoscope - Field Trip Camp Session 2 - Veterans Memorial - Recreation Center
Camp will offer youth, ages 6-10 years old, a wide range of activities to keep them active during the summer months. There will be ten sessions of camp, each one week in length. Five sessions will have a featured field trip and five sessions will have a special event or a wild life animal presentation. All costs, including transportation by charter bus for the featured trip, are included in the cost of the camp program. Children will also enjoy activities such as arts & crafts, outdoor games, indoor games, music & drama, special events, cooking projects, bowling, movies, swimming, hiking, and much more. A schedule will be given out the first day of each session. Children will be divided into age groups. Each group will be assigned a leader and a junior leader or leader in training. Cost Includes: Camp T-shirt, field trip fees, and all supplies! Please be sure all items are clearly labeled with the campers name. Participants must have a Health Information Form on file PRIOR to participation in camp. Extended care available. Field Trip Camp - with Mr. Earl - Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Commission
Field Trips will leave at different times. Drop-off at the Jefferson County Community Center will be at 9:00 a.m. for the trips on Monday thru Thursday. Friday?s trip to Hershey Park will leave from the JCCC at 7am and will return at 6:30pm. Some trips may not leave until later or may leave as early as 9:15 a.m. During wait time for bus departure and drop off, games and other activities will be provided for the children until they are boarded. Pick-up for campers will be at 4:00 p.m. All trips are transported by Jefferson County School Buses. Campers will be required to bring special items each day. Campers must bring a packed lunch to camp each day, and wear sneakers, along with a snack and plenty of water. Other examples include: swimwear, extra cash for concessions/souvenirs, sunscreen, etc. Parents/Guardians who would like to volunteer to assist with the camp must pay their own fees for entry for each field trip. Parents/Guardians will need to submit a volunteer background check by July 10, 2013 in order to attend any trip. Cost includes tickets and admission for all trips daily. Spokes & Sports (Grades 6-8) (PM) - MA Lower School
This class will consist of daily bike rides to different places to participate in a variety of sporting activities such as visiting local parks and playing soccer, frisbee golf, and organized games. Biking helps both aerobic conditioning and muscle strength. Students must bring a bike, helmet, water bottle, snack and sunscreen.
