Have you ever wondered how sharks hear sound, migrate across the ocean, or find prey? Unlock these mysteries as we explore the science behind the largest fishes in the sea! From understanding the importance of this top predators role in balancing the oceans ecosystem, to learning about conservation efforts to save endangered sharks, youll meet shark researchers who are discovering answers to these questions. Whether youre a seasoned pro or new to the stage, if you love to sing, dance or act, this class is for you! Students will get a chance to hone their singing, dancing and acting abilities. Through the study of musical theatre, vocal/movement/acting technique, and a variety of fun games and activities, we will work our way through the process of putting on a show. In addition to improving performance skills, students will gain self-confidence and enhance their public speaking abilities. 3D printers have incredible uses, from building tools as-needed on the International Space Station to creating personal custom toys and jewelry. We have 3D printers in our new innovation BIG Lab! Well be using them all week creating toys and trinkets. Is your child looking for the perfect desk organizer? Or, do those model kits your child buys at the store not perfectly match his/her vision for the Dungeons and Dragons character they wish to create? Now is the time to design it and 3D print it! Tuesday will be inspired by Gingerbread Baby and the making of gingerbread ornaments. Eric Carle takes the lead on Wednesday as we read the Mixed-up Chameleon and mix primary colors for an art project.
