This class begins with essential lessons for to empower new knitters. Lessons will include choosing supplies, reading instructions, casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and binding off. Using these basic techniques, participants will learn how to create different knitting patterns using the knit and purl techniques, including seed stitch, ribbing, stockinette, and garter. By the end of the class, the students will have created a scarf using techniques learned in the class. (201) 427-1458

This is just a proposal for next year's summer camping dates. Never to early to begin planning. We hope to again camp with a troop with whom or boys made friends.
Teen North African Music, Dance and Culture Camp - Nampa, ID
Travel to Northern Africa and the Middle-East, without the motion sickness or expensive flight. Learn about the music, dance and culture of the area of the world where Africa meets the Orient. It's a whole new world of music and dance! If you only have a Western Music Education, you are missing out on over three fourths of the world's music! Students will attend from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Tuesday and Thursday, August 4th and 6th. Besides learning dance moves, students will make percussive instruments and learn to play several N. African Rhythms. Students will learn about the music and culture of this area of the world through music, dance, video, food and art. On Saturday, August 8th, students will have the opportunity to join 1 World Dance in a performance!

Introduction to Shooting, ages 10-12. July 19-20; July 21-22 from 9am-3pm, Big Sioux Recreation Area south of Hawarden. Hunter Education Overnight Camp ages 13-15. The Duluth Youth Sports Camp is a day camp for young athletes entering grades 2-7 (Fall 2016) who want to develop their skills in several sports and build their personal character. Campers will choose two sports to train in for the duration of camp and will be divided into groups for age appropriate training. Morning Sports: Baseball (boys), Volleyball (girls), Soccer (coed) Afternoon Sports: Football (boys), Softball (girls), Basketball (coed) Note: All registrations are being taken online and must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
