TCTA Teen Theatre Camp Session 1 - Austin, TX
We are still looking for some interested teens for the TCTA Theatre Arts Program! It's free, there are 2 sessions at 2 different locations June 13-July 8 @ Hancock Recreation Center July 11- Aug. 5 @ Doris Miller Auditorium Monday - Friday 1-5PM Write, direct, perform and tour to other camps a contemporary performance piece that will include written word, dance, puppetry, etc. The Artists we have hired for the camp have an extensive performance and technical background. SESSION 3 - JULY 5-15 Disneys 101 Dalmatians – A Musical Theater Production Camp! Disneys classic animated tale of kidnapping villains and courageous puppies is adapted in this fur-tastic musical adventure. Pet owners Roger and Anita live happily in London with their Dalmatians Pongo and Perdita, stalwart dogs devoted to raising their puppies. Everything is quiet until Anitas former classmate the monstrous Cruella De Vil plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat. Over this 8 week session, girls will apply math, science, and engineering concepts to build a tetrahedron kite and a mouse trap car. Through an understanding of geometry, structures, aerodynamics, velocity, and more, girls will use multiple construction methods and materials to bring their projects to life! May 31-June 3: Mountain Biking Intro/Intermediate (Ages 8-12) - Mountain Kids!
Whether you are a novice or an intermediate rider, grab your mountain bike and get tuned up for some riding adventures! Riders will learn tips for riding single track, trail etiquette, and riding smart. We will ride mainly at La Tierra where there is plenty of single-track and a great flow track full of whoop-de-doos and yehaws! If we get some really hot days, we will reward ourselves by heading to the Santa Fe River or Bicentennial pool to cool off before riding back to Fort Marcy. BIKE AND HELMET REQUIRED! 505-699-6230
