How Are Staff Members At Camp Trained?
During staff training, counselors and other staff members are trained in basic youth development, behavior management and common issues, group formation, diversity and cultural competency. Common issues like homesickness are also touched on, and counselors are reminded of the importance of encouraging youth to reach their full potential. The camp’s culture and mission as well as the schedule and related activities are also explained in full detail. Additionally, staff learn basic first aid and how to manage different emergencies. Basketball Kid Camp - Summerville, GA
The Chattooga High School Boys’ Basketball Team is hosting our annual basketball camp for boys and girls in Kindergarten – 8th grade in the beatiful new gym! Camp Dates: Monday, July 18th – Thursday, July 21st Time: The camp will begin each morning at 9:00 a.m. and will run through 12:00 p.m. each day. Cost: $30 per camper. Each camper will receive a t-shirt. Campers will also receive lunch each day. Kids can be signed up the morning of the first day of camp (next Monday, the 18th) beginning at 8:30 a.m. Registration forms/payments may also be dropped off with Amanda Larkins at CHS Tuesday-Friday this week between 9:00 and 3:00. We will post the registration form on the page in case anyone wants to print and complete it in advance. We will accept cash and/or checks made payable to CHS Boys' Basketball.

She's back! and better than ever. The 8th installment of the famous "B Pat Rager" will be a high intensity weekend long camping event full of live music, mayhem, and a hangover that will last well into your work week. Thursday After School Spring 2016 - Terra Firma Farm
Terra Firma Farm is entering our 12th year of After School Programs here on the Farm! Throughout the year, the farm-based after school program serves local area students every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. The Terra Firma Farm After School program follows the Stonington Public School Calendar for holidays, half days, vacations and cancellations. Students are dropped at the farm after school or on the school bus and must be picked up by 5:30 PM. The After School program offers children in grades K- 4 the opportunity for fun, learning and exploration. Students arrive on the farm and are welcomed with a fresh after school snack. The children then do farm animal chores such as feeding the pigs, goats, cows, donkeys and the hens. A highlight of each day is gathering eggs from the laying hens. After chores are completed, children may participate in a range of other agriculture-based activities, including gardening, cooking, canning and preserving food, cheese- or butter-making, fiber arts, nature crafts, and much more. Other crafts and activities are scheduled to coincide with holidays and seasonal changes on the farm. 860-535-8171

Camp Whatchamacallit-Movin and Groovin-Post Care - Sandpiper Community Center
Children will be able to hang out in the youth and teen room at Sandpiper, where they can play foosball, pool, use the computers, play board games, or watch tv and hang out with their friends. CSI-Crime Scene Investigations! - Penn State Erie, The Behrend College
Learn how science is used to solve crime by using experimental techniques in a laboratory-based setting. Participants will analyze evidence such as hair, fibers, fingerprints, blood, and blood splatter. Death and decay, shoe impressions, handwriting, and ink analysis will also be studied. Soccer with Corbins Crusaders - Randalls Island
Come play the Beautiful Game! Play soccer on Randalls Island with Corbins Crusaders experienced coaches. Children will work on fundamentals such as dribbling, passing, shooting, defensive skills and team strategy in an exciting atmosphere. We play games each week. In inclement weather well be playing indoor soccer in a gym close to school. First-Fourth Grade MAXIMUM OF 18 STUDENTS. ****** In all Corbins Crusaders programs children will be picked up from Mandell at dismissal by a staff-monitored mini-yellow school bus and dropped off at home between 5:45-6:30pm.
