LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Climbing Camp - Advanced - Breckenridge Recreation Center
So youve been through our Beginner and Intermediate Climbing Camps and you still cant get enough? Then this camp is for you! We spend the first two days on the climbing wall learning some new skills and refreshing others from 8:00am-12:00pm. On Thursday and Friday, we depart Summit County for Independence Pass and Monitor Rock in beautiful Lake County for full days of climbing. On Thursday and Friday, campers depart Breckenridge at 8:00am and return to the Recreation Center at 4:00pm. All participants are responsible for lunch each day and are required to have a backpack, sunscreen, plenty of water (2L or more), rain gear and extra layers. No camp on Wednesdays. Four-day camps are offered in two sessions running June 20-July 29. To register for this program, participants must have attended an Intermediate Climbing Camp within the past 3 years or must receive approval from a Climbing Wall Instructor or the Outdoor Programs Coordinator. Session 4 White/Orange Level - World of Golf
Class will meet once a week on Mondays for a total of four weeks. In this introductory level, juniors learn swing fundamentals, safety, and basic fitness routines. Familiarization with the golf course and facility are also explored in a fun and non-intimidating way. Juniors develop full swing techniques and are introduced to basic chipping and putting methods. SummerART Camp Full Day Studio Art Program 9:30am to 5pm Studio Art with Creative Crafts Session II: July 11 to July 22 Studio Art Camp Matisse and Friends: Colors of the Modern Masters Purple skies, pink trees, red rooms, and green people! Its all about color and imagination this session, which will explore artwork by famous Modern and Post Modern masters like Henri Matisse, Paul Gauguin and Pablo Picasso. These artists experimented with depicting the world using fantastic colors, and a bold and expressive style of brushwork. We will experience color in a whole new way while working in fine art materials, found objects, collage, printmaking, and more! Extends the care of your child after camp if you are unable to pick them up at 4:00pm. Post care covers a two hour time period from 4:00 to 6:00pm The flat fees for Pre-Camp Care and/or Post-Camp Care cover the entire week and do not vary with the number of days your child actually attends. We provide Pre-Camp and Post-Camp care as a convenient option for working parents. Due to the limited number of spaces available, we do not pro-rate. We understand that sometimes plans change or things come up, and we try to accommodate emergency pre or post camp needs where possible. This is a hip-hop and breaking camp. Students will move and groove to funky beats and create a music video to share with friends and family.
