LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Paper & Paint 3D Creations (A.M.) with Ansley Young - Westerly Creek Elementary (Art Room)
Teacher: Ansley Young The wonders of paper and paint come to life in this camp, where 3D projects are built and produced from papier mache, paper bags, watercolor paint, acrylic paint and dimensional embellishments, like beads, yarn, and found objects. Participants will brain storm ideas for these 3D projects on the first day, and will walk away with fabulous creations, which might be masks, sculptures, or an imaginary 3D robot, at the end of the week. Join us for the last 10 minutes of camp on the final day for an art gallery walk in the classroom. We close online registration 24 hours prior to camp start. Camp Collegiate Session 8 3rd-8th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Hawley Session 8: Crime Busters Camp. Camp Collegiate is a fast-paced, fun-based learning experience that is meant to make summer days fly by with fun activities. Boys and girls in third through eighth grade spend their days with friends and counselors doing all of the typical camp things: swimming, cooking out on a camp fire, canoe trips, arts and crafts, having treats, horseback riding, games … and a lot of not-so-traditional things: feeding and caring for snakes and hamsters; studying ecosystems and astronomy; competing in science challenges; building woodworking and electronics projects. Fun off-campus trips will include canoeing down the Fall River, visiting the Oklahoma salt flats, going to Laser Quest, the Alley, Ice Skating, Tanganyika, the Sedgwick Co.
