Emergency action plans are in place, reviewed with staff and practiced to ensure that campers are safe. These plans focus on everything from weather and health issues to missing camper or medical emergencies. All staff members, regardless of their role, are trained in these procedures to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Yoga knows no age boundaries. It has benefits for the older and younger alike. Just B Yoga provides a quality yoga program for children that benefits the body and the mind. The camp is taught by Belinda Thurston and Monica Pino. Our classes teach children body awareness and positive self image while finding healthy movement exercises. Children will learn yoga asana (poses), pranayama (breath exercises), dharana and dhyana (focus and meditation). Fall Teen Adventure Weekend - West Branch, MI
Canoe trip on the Au Sable River with overnight lodging at YMCA Camp Timbers. Co-ed, ages 13-17. Join YMCA Camp Timbers staff for a TEEN ADVENTURE WEEKEND canoeing the Au Sable River! The weekend begins with a Friday night stay at Camp Timbers before launching on the Au Sable River Saturday morning. After spending Saturday canoeing the river, participants return to Camp Timbers in the evening to enjoy S’mores around a campfire. The weekend ends with debriefing, unpacking, and a sampling of adventure activities at camp on Sunday. Cost is $75 for Y members and $90 for non-members and includes: meals, lodging, use of canoeing gear, transportation between Camp Timbers and the Au Sable River, and programming. I am originally from India and I have been a resident of Happy Valley for more than 11yrs now. My family and I love this town. Let me tell you a little bit about my family and myself. I have a Masters degree in Plant Pathology from India and an associate degree in Labor Studies and Employment Relations from Penn State. I used to work with Young Scholars couple of years back and had a wonderful experience during my time there. My husband is a physician and works with Geisinger and we have two boys. Sajal, 19 has graduated from SCASD in 2014 and attends Brown University and Rohan, 13 will be starting 8th grade in the fall. I am extremely excited to work in the club! 8142379727.0

Sewing camp is a wonderful opportunity to learn a new skill that will last a lifetime! In this sewing camp, your child will learn a variety of hand-machine-sewing skills. They will learn to comfortably use the sewing machine and practice basic sewing stitches. We will make projects such as pillows, iPod holders, tote bags, aprons, draw string bags, book covers, water bottle holders and more. As a final project, campers will learn the art of quilting. We will provide all the colorful, beautiful fabrics, and the materials. On Friday, the campers will prepare snacks and lunch as part of their camp experience.
