Personal finance Camps - Money Matters - Damascus Community Recreation Center
Money Matters Camp teaches campers the importance of budgeting, saving, and practical spending using fun and engaging finance games. Campers will also participate in a week long business project where students will be responsible for creating their own Ice Cream Shop business model. Money Matters Camp is a fun and interesting way for children to learn financial responsibility. Please bring a light snack, or a lunch if your child is enrolled in camps all day. A $15 material fee will be collected on the first day of camp. Spend time this summer as a CIT with Positive Energy Outdoors and become an outdoor leader. As a mentor and role model for younger campers, youll assist PEO staff with games, team building challenges and camp activities including kayaking, SUP, rock climbing, hiking, draft horses and more. Youll also be trained to help with the maurices portable climbing wall at community events. A mandatory training/orientation session is required on Friday, June 10 from 12 - 4 pm. A commitment of at least one full week of camp is required for participation, and transportation is available from Marshall School (drop off at 8:15 am and pick up at 4:45 each day).
