LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Musical Theater Camp - Sears Gallery
Elgin Academys Musical Theater Camp combines all the components of a professional performance in a fun camp atmosphere! Camp will begin with auditions to help determine the campers current developmental and comfort levels in performance. All participants will be assigned a role to perform for a final presentation. Additionally, students will work together with staff to help create sets, costume pieces and props. Participants and their families are asked to make a commitment to regular attendance, as absences significantly impact the groups preparation. MDA Fundraiser to send kids to camp - Killeen, TX
I’ve turned myself in, so I’ll be doing a little time behind bars and I need your help to break free! That’s right – I’m headed to the slammer and the money I raise towards my bail will help kids and adults break free from the harmful effects of muscle debilitating diseases. Did you know that muscular dystrophy, ALS and related disease take away everyday freedoms like walking, running, hugging and even breathing? That’s why I’m dedicating my time behind bars to help MDA fund ground-breaking research across diseases, provide critical care from the first day of diagnosis and empower families with services and support in hometowns across America. Please join me by making a donation! With your support, we'll move toward a future in which kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases live longer and grow stronger. http://www2.mda.org/site/TR/Lock-Up/LockUp2016-National?px=4230605&pg=personal&fr_id=23384

Summer Camp Girls Empowerment - Skyliner Lodge
There is a potent seed within all of us that receives nourishment when we consciously gather together. The nourishment comes from celebrating the divinity within each pair of eyes that we behold as they reflect our own spirit back to us. This seed eventually matures into the unique way that we embody and radiate beauty during our earth walk. In this transformational week, we will incorporate the sacred elements of nature, mindfulness, and ceremony to provide an opportunity for inner blossoming. We will be accessing the ancient wisdom of our ancestral grandmothers, making plant medicines, dying fabrics, and weaving with natural fibers. We will be accessing the deep and profound stillness that allows us to be fully present and fully ourselves. We will be celebrating life through creating earth art and body paints. All the while, the girls will be inspired by one another in a safe and supportive group setting. Journey with us into the wilderness as we discover what it means to be an empowered young woman. 503-680-9831
