What If a Child Can’t Swim?
Parents do not have to worry if their children cannot swim. There are many safety precautions in place to protect youth. For example, qualified lifeguards certified in CPR and First Aid are always on duty to make sure that children are safe when swimming. Additionally, the summer program will assess all kids’ swimming abilities. There are instructors on site that can help interested youth improve their swimming skills or learn to swim.

The summer camp will be held in two one-week sessions designed to engage inner-city youth (ages of 8-18) by teaching, mentoring and coaching students to not only become solid athletes, but to help them develop into successful, productive human beings.

NFL Alumni Players & Cheerleaders Caring for Kids Campaigns - Jacksonv
The JVC TV Fundraiser program is in coordination with JVC, the NFL Alumni's mission of "Caring for Kids" and the NFL Play 60 Program, a program that promotes the idea of 60 minutes of exercise a day for kids of all ages. The fundraiser consists of two JVC TV’s, an HD 55” and the other an HD 65”. Only 300 tickets will be available exclusively on our web site for $20 each or 3 for $50. Each ticket has the opportunity to win one of the two TVs. Once the 300 tickets are sold no more will be available. It will be a first come, first serve event. The first ticket that is drawn will win the 55” TV, then the second ticket drawn will win the 65” TV. The grand drawing will be held during our 4th Quarter NFL Alumni "Meet & Greet", Nov. 19 6pm to 9pm, scheduled to be located at the BoneFish Grill in Jacksonville Beach. The drawing itself will be scheduled for 8pm.

In Skyhawks tennis programs, players learn proper grips, footwork, strokes, volleys and serves during a series of drills designed to teach skills in a fun and dynamic way. Athletes also learn the rules and etiquette that make tennis an exciting game. Due to limited court space, these programs fill quickly. participants should bring racquet, appropriate clothing, two snacks, a water bottle, running shoes, and sunscreen. The Fitness and Character Education (FACE) program combines 25+ years training of Martial Arts, jumping rope, and juggling to guarantee results in agility, coordination, focus, and timing for todays youth. Sensei Kirk Farber incorporates building self-esteem and character education within every class session. Each session emphasizes the principles and concepts to enhance the individuals fitness skills while speaking on character traits. Camp will include the FACE class, outside activities, and agility/coordination training. Each week will have a different theme. Prizes will be earned at the end of each week. Students should have shoes for jumping rope and outside, and snack should be provided for camper. 904-256-5071
