Ahoy Mateys! ARRRRrrr you looking for some adventure this summer? Just look for the mighty Jolly Roger flag! This week is full of pirate excitement, including many pirate stories and dramatic play. Campers will also make their own pirate costumes, treasure maps and search for buried treasure. They will have a swashbuckling good time and if they are brave enough, they may have a chance to walk the plank! See you this summer, me hearties! Kaitlyn's Running for Joy Ninja Kid Camp Fundraiser - Huntsville, AL
Ninja Obstacle Academy Huntsville is hosting a Ninja Kids Camp to support Kaitlyn's Running for Joy Fundraiser! The 3hr camp will cost $40 per child ages 6 and up! Pre-K Summer Fun Camp - Session III (Ages 4-5) Full morning of interaction for social, cognitive, and physical growth in a fun, nurturing environment. Arts and crafts, games, local field trips, special events, and presenters! Registration is for full two-week session. All children must be potty trained to attend camp. Children who will be 4yrs old by 10/1/16 are also permitted to attend camp. Drama Club: Really Rosie and the Nutshell Kids - The Philadelphia School
This year, The Drama Club will be putting on a production of Maurice Sendak and Carole Kings REALLY ROSIE. It follows a typical summer day in the life of the Nutshell Kids, a group of neighborhood friends, including Pierre, Alligator, Johnny, Chef Jeff from the Nutshell Library books, and Rosie and Kathy from The Sign on Rosies Door. Rosie — the self-proclaimed sassiest kid on her block of Brooklyns Avenue P and based on a girl Sendak knew as a child growing up in Brooklyn — entertains everyone by directing and starring in an Oscar-winning movie based on the exciting, dramatic, funny (and slightly exaggerated) story of her life. Drama Club meetings will be run both as rehearsals (starting with warm-ups, followed by blocking, running of scenes, vocal work, and choreography) AND prop, set, & costume design and/or painting and building time. Members will work together to come up with the design of the show and use club time to execute some set and prop pieces, as well as costume pieces.
